Great way to see Barcelona with kids

We had a wonderful tour today with Thomas! We are a family with three young kids (ages 7,4 and almost 2) and they had the perfect setup. Our oldest on her own bike, the middle on a tag a long and the youngest in a child seat. We saw SO MUCH more of Barcelona than we ever would have been able to without the tour and our kids loved biking. Thomas was patient when our kids wanted snack and water breaks, offered to take photos for us and was great ant navigating traffic and bike lanes for us. I definitely recommend!

Great time!

Our guide Julio was awesome! Great family experience. Our kids are 11 and 12 and it was totally fine for them. Julio knows a lot about the history of the city and made the ride entertaining and fun.

Yes! Our guide Laureline was great. This was a fantastic experience. Thank you Laureline!

Our bike guide Laureline was fantastic. She was professional, kind and informative. The bike tour experience itself was great. Our guide Laureline did a wonderful job of not only giving us information, but it was not boring. We had our 10 year child with us. We feel safe, not rushed, learned a lot but also it was relaxed and fun. The exertion was fine. I suppose if you are "out of shape" and find it difficult to ride a bike, well, then perhaps look for something else. But this was not difficult. It was quite lovely. I cannot say enough great things about our guide. She was also so kind to offer more information and tips for our trip. This bike tour is great for families, work tours, friends, and singles. Anyone that has the ability to ride a bike and wants to explore. It was cool. You cover a lot of ground via bike, and you can then decide where you would want to go back and visit on your own time. Thank you Laureline for a wonderful experience, conversation, and your kindness. I would highly recommend this tour. She was also great with taking photos, I did not post all of mine because I chose not to post my family, but she took great photos for us. - I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes, a backpack or fanny back, and bring a water. Helmets are not required for adults but they are for children. It was very safe. We are American with some Spanish speaking knowledge. Laureline spoke English very well, but also was fluent in other languages. Book this tour!

Great for our family!

We have kids ages 8 and 10, and this tour was perfect for our family of four. Lauraline was our guide, and she was preemptive to reach out to us prior to the tour to find the best fit of bikes for our kids. She reserved a tag-along trailer just in case our 8 year old couldn't manage the hand brakes, but said we could change our mind if we needed to. On the day of, she offered to meet up with us earlier to get started earlier. The whole tour, she was so personable and stayed very engaged with our family. We lucked out that there weren't any other families joining us so we had a private tour! We finished the tour at the same time we would have finished if we left the original time, which I thought was super generous of her, so we tipped her extra. She kept us off the heavily trafficked bike lanes for the kids' safety which I super appreciated too!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your amazing review!!

Fun, flexible while learning about the main history of Barcelona.

We were very lucky to have had Laurien as our English guide as she is a very helpful, kind, flexible and understanding guide, for both the adults and kids. She speaks many languages and explained the history of monuments and locations clearly for the kids and adults, without too much information. We got to cover the whole tour even though extra time was taken up with delays at certain stops but Laurien never made the group feel under pressure. Highly recommend a tour with Laurien for a mixed tour of adults and kids of all ages. Thanks a lot Laurien and for the tips! Family van Tuijl x

Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for your kind review. So nice to have you and daughter riding with us :)

Private Bike tour for families: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Private Bike tour for families cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Bike tour for families take?

+

Plan for about 2.1 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Private Bike tour for families worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Bike tour for families?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Bike tour for families suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Bike tour for families?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Bike tour for families start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
