The temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi on the condition that people of all castes will be allowed to enter the temple. Witness the evening Aarti ceremony, a prayer ceremony and a fundamental part of Hindu culture. Representing the elements of fire, earth, water and air as well as the senses, the priest has a tray with a diya (lamp), offerings of food, water, flowers, incense and a small bell. An 'Aarti lamp' is passed around a deity and is generally accompanied by the singing of songs in praise of that particular god. In doing so, the plate or lamp is supposed to acquire the power of the deity which is then passed around the people when the priest circulates the plate or lamp to all those present. The ceremony ends with everyone sharing the food which has been offered to the Gods. Later after the sightseeing drop-off at your desired location in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram (Gurgaon).

Great 1-Day Tour!

Has a great one day tour with Prem on 21 Feb 24. He is the safest driver in Delhi! We saw some really amazing sights and Prem gave us great historical and cultural information on each place. He could not have been more accommodating, polite, or professional. I highly recommend him and day tours of Delhi with this company!!

Hire this Private Driver!!!

Prem is the best driver, he took us into Delhi and we were able to walk around everywhere and he promptly met us to take us back to aerocity. Rates were completely reasonable and since he’s worked so long in the area he knows the best ways to get places. Answered all our questions…highly recommend for anyone visiting Dehli or nearby cities.

Great tour of New Delhi!

Dilip was fantastic, he was very informative. Mr. Prim is the best driver around!! When not on a walking part of the tour he provided background info of where you are and what around. His car was always clean and had plenty of ice cold bottled water.

Perfect tour

Perfect days of touring! I am writing a review under full-day private tour of New Delhi, but we actually took 6 different days of touring. We are retired and wanted to take a slower pace. Each day was perfectly planned by the owner Shakul Garg, and then adjusted to our physical needs each day by the guides Mahesh and Dilip. I cannot say enough how much we loved this visit to this city. By having the best driver in the world - B.K. Sharma, we started off feeling safe and cared about as a tourist. The restaurants we stopped at for lunch were vetted by the company as using bottled water and cooking techniques to ensure no stomach illness as one can get with lower quality food. We also booked the hotel through this company. It was excellent in every way. Again the hotel staff at Hotel Crowne Plaza also took good care of us. The tour package was very reasonably priced, and certainly worth it. We were able to choose our sites to see and among the best, I recommend the Red Fort, Safdarjung Tomb, Gandhi cremation memorial, Humayun's Tomb, Sikander Lodi's tomb in an incredible park setting. Also Swaminarayan Akshardham Hindu temple, and Purana Qila. All together, I would say these parks in these main tourist areas are all together larger than the largest botanical gardens in North America. Larger than any in the state of Florida (the vegetation is the same as in Miami) or Longwood Gardens. I highly recommend booking your tour through this company.

Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive) cost?

+

Prices start at $81 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive) take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive) suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive)?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Best of New Delhi Full-Day City Tour (All Inclusive) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

+

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
