About this experience
Join us on a private bespoke Golden Circle tour in a luxury vehicle! The Golden Circle includes some of Iceland’s most popular tourist sightseeing spots. It’s not only because they are close to the country’s capital area, but also because they are stunningly beautiful, full of history and fantastic geology. The traditional Golden Circle includes Þingvellir National Park, Geysir Geothermal Area, and Gullfoss Waterfall. During this tour, we can create an itinerary tailored to your needs and add extra stops like exploring Kerið Crater, relaxation at the Secret Lagoon or Fontana Wellness, snowmobiling on Langjökull Glacier, horseback riding or snorkeling in Silfra fissure. All additional activities that extend the tour duration will incur separate charges. Examples of such activities include visiting the Blue Lagoon, glacier hiking, snowmobiling, and similar excursions. Additionally, the tour price will increase for each hour added beyond the standard duration of the tour.

8 hour golden circle tour
We were picked up at our ship by Daniel. We started the tour at the farthest stop. This insured that we missed the crowds from the larger buses. There were 8 people in the group which allowed us to spread out in the 15 passenger van. Daniel was knowledgeable in different aspects of Iceland. He was able to work in lunch at a popular restaurant which takes reservations months in advance. We got there just as it opened and were able to be seated. All in all it was a great experience.

The best way to experience Iceland
Daniel was an absolutely incredible tour guide who went above and beyond to give us an unforgettable first day in Iceland. We learned so much every step of the way and had a blast talking and laughing about the nature and culture here. The tour was flexible and tailored to fit our interests, and Daniel is so knowledgeable about every location. His recommendations for other activities to do during our trip have turned out to be awesome experiences as well. One of my favorite parts of the day was having an impromptu grocery store adventure; I had a blast trying food that the locals eat. This tour exceeded every expectation. Thank you Daniel for giving my dad and I some of the best memories of our lives!

Amazing experience on this tour with our superb guide Joanna!
Amazing experience on this tour! Our group of 4 couples booked a private comfortable sprinter bus with the amazing Joanna. She was extremely knowledgeable about the areas, the history and food, and all the natural elements as well as getting around Iceland with ease. Everything was planned to a T. We saw more than we could imagine in the two days with Joanna. This was our second trip to Iceland and I can’t recommend enough the value of having this type of tour for your group travel. It was luxurious and comfortable. She knew exactly how to handle each site and was flexible with us when needed. Don’t hesitate to book!!

Such a great tour!
Oscar did such a nice job introducing us to Iceland and the history behind the various stops. He was quiet when we were dozing (jet lagged!) and chatty when we were awake. We stopped at a lovely tomato farm for lunch and could not have been more impressed with the food and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour of the Golden Circle.
Iceland is amazing. On this tour, I think we hit 9 different sites, having multiple excellent culinary experiences along the way. Now that I'm home, I've stocked my fridge with Icelandic Skyr because of this trip. Our guide (Adrian) was outstanding, keeping everything on track so we could see the sites, learn the history, learn how Skyr was made, learn about the geology, etc. Fabulous experience!
Response from the operator: Dear Z3444QNstevef, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Your Friend In Reykjavik! We're delighted that you enjoyed exploring the Golden Circle with us and that Adrian made your journey both informative and memorable. It's fantastic to hear that Icelandic Skyr left such an impression on you—what a delicious way to bring a bit of Iceland home. We hope you treasure your memories from Iceland, and we would love to welcome you back on another adventure soon! With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1573 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Bespoke Golden Circle Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
