I highly recommend
We were looking for a specific tea and a dress. Jerry took us to the perfect ships and we found what we wanted. We visited all the shops advertised. Everyone in my family found what they wanted. Jerry made us feel relaxed and not rushed. He also helped us learn how to make a good bargain. All this while educating about culture and history. Thank you, Jerry!

Amazing tour with Linda! Prepare a list of what you want to get and she will look after you! :)
Linda has been an amazing guide! If you are thinking about doing the antique and pearl market - or even if you just want to browse - she will make sure you’re looked after! The tea tasting stop has been really good as well! Linda was an amazing communicator who will go above and beyond to make sure you’re getting the best deals in the best places :) Even after the tour - she took me to a Luzhu joint as I expressed how badly I wanted to try the local Beijing specialty! Despite the public holiday, she covered the itinerary and more! I’m even talking to Linda even after the tour and she has been a helpful person to ask about specific Beijing things! Highlights: - Tea tasting - love the selection! Will suit different budgets :) - Antique markets - to window shop - Pearl market - if you are after good brands, to souvenirs - best place to haggle!
Response from the operator: Dear Guest Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re absolutely thrilled you had such an amazing experience with Linda—she truly is an exceptional guide. We’re so glad she took great care of you at the antique and pearl markets, helped you find great deals, made the tea tasting enjoyable, and even went the extra mile to take you to try local Beijing food like Luzhu. It means a lot to us that she stayed helpful even after the tour and made your whole trip unforgettable. We really appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Beijing again soon! 😊 Best regards, Lily's Beijing Tours Team

An amazing day with Jerry
We had an amazing day with Jerry! He took us to the antique market and helped us negotiate prices, then brought us to a special tea ceremony where we were introduced to a variety of teas. We also visited the pearl market and were guided to a shop with the best quality pearls. He showed us some fantastic local spots, including a place for lunch where we enjoyed delicious, freshly made dumplings – a perfect highlight of the day. Jerry is incredibly professional, warm, and personable, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market cost?
+
Prices start at $44 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Beijing Markets Tour with Tea Tasting at Hongqiao Pearl Market start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
