Day tour to Mutianyu Great Wall, Forbidden City & Tian'anmen Square

What an amazing day ☺️ Our tour guide, David, collected us from our hotel lobby and catered to our needs throughout the day. Mutianyu Great Wall was epic, the fog cleared to reveal the most unbelievable scene, with all the trees in blossom it will be a scene never to forget. David's knowledge was exceptional and was appreciated around our second stop at the Forbidden City. I didn't know what to expect there, I was astounded at the size and beauty of the buildings and sculptures. Final stop of the day at Tian'anmen Square. Again David and his knowledge made it extra special. A great day out that was planned perfectly. Also buffet lunch was a nice touch. We enjoyed the whole experienceand would highly recommend it, thank you David.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had such an amazing day exploring Beijing with David. It's great to know that the breathtaking views at Mutianyu, the magnificent Forbidden City, and Tian'anmen Square all made lasting memories for you. David will be delighted to hear that his knowledge and care helped make your experience so special. Thank you for your kind recommendation. We truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you back to China for another unforgettable adventure! Best regards, Encounter China Tours

    Best tour in Beijing

We had the best trip in Beijing with our guide Clare. She is a warm, patient lady with abundant knowledge about the Great Wall and summer palace. Instead of taking us to the crowded regular route of visiting these two must see sites in Beijing. She went out of her way to lead us to different routes so that we could stay away from the hustle and bustle of big tour groups. Our driver Mr Wong was always meeting us on time with a smiling face, his van is spacious, comfortable and throughly clean. We can’t find more accurate words to say how lucky we were to have chosen this tour among all those Beijing tours. You will not regret by booking this tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you for you nice comments about Clare and Mr Wong. Pray that you meet more wonderful people in your China trip!

    great tours

I had an excellent two-day tour with Susan. She is a font of knowledge. She took us to the main tourist attractions and had all of the facts at her fingertips, happily engaging and answering plenty of supplementary questions about Chinese culture. Everything was seamless due to Susan's meticulous preparation from the time the tour was booked until drop off on day two. Susan knew all of the best spots to take photos and, being a good photographer herself, made sure we had plenty of memories. Thank you Susan!

Response from the operator: thank you for your kind review, Derek. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed wonderful time with susan! if you ever come back again, please don't hesitate to contact us!

    Wonderful guide and driver

We had a fabulous tour with Susan. The morning when we saw her in our hotel lobby waiting for us with her smiling face, we knew we had the right guide. Susan is extremely well-organized and easy-going. She made sure all our tickets were booked in advance so that we didn’t have to wait at the entrance for buying tickets when we arrived during the busy Chinese holidays. She is always patient, kind, and caring about our need, and she gave us tons of interesting information about China and places we visited. We also loved our driver Mr Wong he was always quiet, but his driving skills amazed us in a crowded city like Beijing. Both Susan and Mr Wong showed us a good manner to make us feel so welcomed in China. If you ever need a tour service, you should not hesitate to contact them. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your heartfelt review! We're delighted that Susan and Mr. Wong made your Beijing tour comfortable, smooth, and memorable, especially during the busy holiday season. Susan’s attention to detail and kindness, along with Mr. Wong’s expert driving, truly reflect the hospitality we strive to offer all our guests. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back to China for more amazing experiences in the future

Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive cost?

    +

Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive take?

    +

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Beijing Day Tour: Great Wall&Forbidden City All Inclusive start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
