Floating Market Tour is a Must See

Our Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour with Miss Mor was amazing. The Train Market, Floating Market and Swimming Monkeys in the Mangrove, where we were able to interact and feed them, were so informative and enjoyable. We learned so much about the customs and history of Bangkok.

Professional, Knowledgeable, Fun -- Can't ask for more!

My partner and I were traveling with another couple on our trip in July 2022 to Singapore, Koh Samui, and Bangkok. Compared to Singapore, prices for a private guide with a driver was very reasonable in Bangkok. After A LOT of research, and many many emails with Olaf (the owner of the company), we agreed on a three day private tour with a guide and driver to see the following: 11 July: Ayutthaya Tailor Made tour by van. Bang Pa In, Wat Chai Wattanaram, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mahatat. 12 July: Train and floating market Tailor Made tour by van. Both markets, good local (seafood?) lunch and back to Bangkok and if time allows more sites 13 July: Bangkok Tailor Made tour by van. Wishlist: Wat Traimit, Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, lunch at Krua Apsorn, klong tour boat ride, Wat Pho. The above was a wish list, but Olaf patiently worked with me as I asked many questions to try to come up with a "best" plan. Tommy and the driver showed up early and were waiting at the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria to pick us on up July 11. As others have said Tommy is not only knowledgeable, but he is a lot of fun. He is also so considerate! Because it was a private tour, we were able to speed things up or slow things down, depending on our interest in what we were seeing. I've included some pictures. If you have time, definitely consider a three day tour! You will learn so much and it will be so much easier with Tommy and a driver!

Response from the operator: You made us very happy with your kind words and 5 star review!

Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $21 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Bangkok Floating Market Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

+

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
