About this experience
In this tea ceremony, you will understand and taste all kinds of premium tea, such as green tea, oolong, black, and fermented tea (5–6 kinds, depending on your resistance to the amount of tea). From the best season, typical terroir (all the tea is selected from real masters in China, which is even harder to get on the Chinese market), with my explanation of the historical, geographical, health-beneficial, and cultural stories. I will share important skills, such as how to brew different kinds of tea at the correct temperature and timing, with my 15 years of tea ceremony experience in Europe.

Discovering Tea and Culture with an Amazing Host
I absolutely loved Lu’s authentic tea and food experiences! Lu is a wonderful host, and I felt very comfortable with him throughout the visit. I learned so much about tea, and you can truly feel Lu’s passion for it. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who loves tea, wants to learn more about it, or would like to discover a part of Chinese culture.
Response from the operator: Many thanks for the lovely words!! It was super comfort to have you here and good that you learned much!!

Amazing experience!!
Lu was so welcoming, his home was stunning and he was overall just a great guy! He had an incredible amount of knowledge on tea, we learnt so much! Tasted a wide variety of teas and learnt about the process of making them, the teas we tasted were spectacular! He was going to show us more but we were tea’d out! Even before the experience he was more than helpful with recommendations of places to go and eat in Prague. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys tea or learning new, interesting things. I can’t thank him enough for this experience!
Response from the operator: Hi Jessica, so many thanks for such nice words! Was a pleasure to meet you both here and I hope the knowlege will help you further for the tea experience! And hope that you had great time in Prague!

Out-of-this-world teas, very cool laid-back host!
Had a great time with Lu tasting his tea! :-) My girlfriend got me the tea experience as an anniversary present, as I kept mentioning I'm too much into drinking craft beers lately and would love to broaden my horizons with some other great beverages better for my body 😅 Lu has been super hospitable to us, hosted us for many hours and shared a lot of his knowledge about Chinese green tea, Taiwanese oolong, and, best of all, brewed us a sample of each! Lu's got some beautiful teaware, out-of-this-world tea imported from small chinese teamakers and a great banter, we have discussed so many topics! For a tea ceremony, I felt very casual, laid-back, and just like having a good tea-break with friends. Thaks a lot for the experience, Lu! 10/10 would visit again!
Response from the operator: Hi Many thanks!! I hope that you had best experience here!!! I hope the knowlege will be very useful for you!

High quality teas, amazing host, relaxing experience for anyone with an interested in Fine food & drinkss
I recently attended a Chinese tea ceremony hosted by Lu, and it was a great experience. Being myself a tea-ficionado for many years, i can say that Lu is truly knowledgeable about the various types of Chinese tea but also deeply passionate about sharing the traditions behind. We tasted various teas from China and Taiwan, learned about their origins, their benefits, and how the different processes can impact the final taste. It is rare to find such high quality chinese teas in Europe and i think anyone interested in fine food, wine, or even coffee, would appreciate and benefit from this experience. The serene atmosphere with beautiful teaware, clear explanations and nice conversation made it a super interesting and relaxing time. Lu is very friendly, open-minded and welcoming. Highly recommend this event for anyone interested in tea culture, or even just curious to explore something new.

Sunday, tea and wonderful company
As a tea lover I absolutely enjoyed the beautiful Sunday tea ceremony with Lu and one more friend. Your perception of tea will be completely changed. You will learn history, geography, meaning and experience variety of tastes like never before. Be sure to understand that you don't understand the tea unless you spend a ceremony with Lu. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Knowledge, peaceful atmosfhere and good and wise company. Very rare and very beautiful! Thank you, Lu! Michaela

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.
How much does Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague cost?
+
Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.
Is Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Authentic Tea Experience in Prague start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Prague?
+
On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, 3-hour Complete Prague Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Prague?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Prague?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
