Highly recommended

We can’t say enough about the day spent with Ceillhe! We were driven in total comfort from our Auckland hotel to Waitomo caves, completely immersed in Ceillhe’s narratives about the history, lands and particularly the culture of the areas we passed through. We were totally in synch with the private tour of the Waitomo caves thanks to great communication between the two. Following the caves we continued on, with a stop for lunch, to Rotorua. We learned more about Māori history, culture and present day situations during this drive than we did the next 2 days touring Rotorua!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words about your "Auckland to Rotorua via Waitomo Caves One-Way Private Tour" with Ceillhe. She won the highly-prestigious "Tourism Industry Champion Award" at the recent New Zealand Tourism Awards. The Tourism Champion Award recognises an outstanding tourism professional who has been in the tourism industry workforce for more than 10 years. TIME Unlimited Tours was started over 20 years ago by Neill and Ceillhe Sperath - time flies when you're having fun! What many potential guests don't realise is that we can very much guide our guests not just around Auckland and to/from Rotorua but very much around the Central North Island region and beyond, knowing all of Aotearoa/New Zealand exceptionally well. So maybe next time we can show you more of our beautiful country. Ka kite ano (see you again soon), Neill & Ceillhe Sperath

Customer Service is Outstanding!

Our experience with TIME Unlimited Tours was exceptional! Ceillhe went above and beyond our expectations to help us with situations that weren’t even associated with their business or responsibility. The care and customer service provided by Ceillhe and Harry astounded us! They truly care about their customers and want their experience to be the best that it can be! I highly recommend them…you won’t find a more caring, professional company.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your exceptional experience with TIME Unlimited Tours. It's heartening to receive such feedback that we went above and beyond providing outstanding customer service and extending our business scope. We are always dedicated to ensure the best possible experience for our guests. Your recommendation is appreciated and it’s clear out professionalism and genuine concern added to your experience. Ka kite ano (see you again soon)! Ceillhe Sperath

Waitomo Caves & Glow Worms

Our tour operator was Pacific Destinations. Small group of about 12 people initially. The only negative comment would be that we had to “meet” OUR tour driver at Hobbiton Movie Set Tours location as that’s where all the passengers (except us) were heading. So we took a 2.5hr van ride to somewhere we didn’t want to go only to have to travel another 1.5hrs to our destination instead of going directly which would have only been about 2.5 hrs. Not great when you have back issues… Aside from this, Waitomo Caves and the Glow Worms were amazing! Beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. Wonderful acoustics - even though we were told to be very quiet, other tours were encouraged to sing their national anthems… The peaceful float/pull along the river in the caves revealed spectacular glow worms on the cave ceilings and made you feel you were looking at hundreds of twinkling lights in the night sky. Definitely something worth experiencing!

Response from the operator: Thanks for your review. While we're certain you didn't describe our tour experience - our name is TIME Unlimited Tours and Pacific Destinationz is a very good Inbound Tour Operator we also work with - we appreciate you taking the time to write your review, whomever you were reviewing. Thanks, Neill & Ceillhe Sperath

How far in advance should I book Private Auckland to Rotorua Tour via Waitomo Caves.?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Auckland?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Auckland?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
