We had a great time visiting foodie spots in Amsterdam with our guide Anna. We loved the cookies, mini pancakes, the French fries, and the herring! All the spots were special. Anna was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!!

Delicious 3 Hour Food Tour with Anna

We spent a delicious and nourishing 3 hours with Anna who not only fed our bellies but our minds with food and knowledge about Amsterdam and the Dutch way of life. From herring to cheese to craft beer to pancakes to a fine sit down lunch Anna shared great information about Amsterdam but also personal morsels of what it is like to live in Amsterdam. Super highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the culinary experience and insights into Amsterdam’s culture and way of life. It was a pleasure sharing the city with you, and I truly appreciate your recommendation.

Lots of Food with the Best Host!

Anna was the perfect host for our group. She met us in front of the Anne Frank house and we immediately went around the corner and started off our food tour with poffetjes. It only got better from there. We ate our way around the city, with sweet and savory dishes. We stopped in a few vintage shops and she took us to a beautiful church in the medieval area. Two of us had colds so she took us to a market and we all had ginger shots. Anna was intuitive to the likes of our group and we really felt like we were just hanging out with a friend who lives in Amsterdam

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure to host your group and show you some of my favorite spots around Amsterdam. I'm so glad you enjoyed the poffertjes and all the delicious stops along the way! It was great exploring the vintage shops and the beautiful medieval church with you. I'm especially happy that the ginger shots helped with those colds! It really felt like spending the day with friends, and I hope we get the chance to explore together again in the future. Wishing you all the best!

    +

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
