Amazing boat day with Francesco - perfecto!
We took a 6 hour private cruise today on “again” with Francesco. It was fantastic. After looking for the right cruise I found the communication with Exclusive Cruises to be fantastic - super responsive and clear and gave me great advice as to which cruise to do (I was thinking Capri, but the gave me great advice to stay on the Amalfi Coast). They also confirmed via what’s app a few days before. Payment was made in advance via a payment link which was super easy. We were picked up from the dock of our hotel at 10am and we went up and down the coast. Francesco knew exactly where we should go, and took us to the best swimming spots. We go off in Positano to about 20 mins for an ice cream but otherwise stayed on the boat or in the water all day. The boat was fantastic, a comfortable place for us to lie down in the sun on the front and also to sit. Francesco was truly a great skipper. We left it in his hands to design the itinerary and it was perfect. I highly recommend this cruise. A perfect day on the water and the best way to see the coast.

Memorable boat tour of the Amalfi Coast
We took a memorable boat trip on the Amalfi Coast with the legendary Francesco, legend of the Amalfi Coast. Everything was perfect from the pick up that was directly from our hotel. Francesco guided us in a very expert way to discover the Amalfi Coast, adapting the tour to our needs and requests. He explained all the various points of interest we saw from the boat and made us swim in spectacular spots. I recommend it.

Unfortunately, our boat trip was canceled due to weather, however, I still want to recommend this company. The excellent communication prior to our excursion was very helpful and reassuring. Just a few hours before our meeting time, our cruise ship had to change ports, and they were able to accommodate this and agreed to pick us up in another nearby village. Unfortunately the weather got worse, and the whole thing was called off. They refunded our money in full. Excellent company to deal with and the next time I am in the Amalfi coast, I will definitely contact them.

Not quite as described
Ok so a couple of things: The Amalfi coast is absolutely beautiful, our captain was knowledgeable and we had a lovely day cruising the shore and swimming at some beautiful, secluded locations (or as secluded as the Amalfi Coast can be on a Sunday in July.) However, the reason that I booked this tour was the part of the description that promised "Go ashore to visit charming villages like Amalfi, Positano and Conca Dei Marini." I wanted to go ashore and visit Positano but the captain shrugged this off. I didn't make an issue of it at the time as I wanted to make sure that it was actually part of the tour description but it was. Another thing that you should be aware of is that the boat, while charming to look at, is small and slow. The water was busy and choppy on the day of our cruise and if you're prone to seasickness, take something for it before you depart. Lastly, the description includes the tour as including lunch. It does not. We were dropped at local restaurant for lunch. It was fine. I wasn't offered a choice and lunch for the four people in my family was almost another 200 Euros.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the review and I am so sorry to hear about your lunch experience. €200 for a family of 4 people, from my personal experience, is standard on the Amalfi Coast in high season, of course depending on what you ordered (seafood will cost more, for example) and wine, beverages, etc. It depends on where you go, but yes prices along the coast can be rather high, I agree with you. Regarding the boat, we do not offer lunch on board and I make sure to write that in the "exclusions" on the tour listing. It is not an option that I offer on the open boat, simply because there is no fridge or cabin on the boat, and the skipper is responsible for manning the boat, taking care of guests, and more and it would be too much to set up and clean, etc. without the proper space and tools on a smaller boat like the one you booked. (On the larger luxury yachts we can offer lunch because there is more room and there is a kitchen, etc. if I have a specific request for it) Yes you can visit the villages on foot, it seems odd that your skipper would shrug off positano- the only thing that I can imagine is that he did not understand that you wanted to get off. Did you specifically tell him that it was important to you to get off on land for free time and where? He will do what you ask, but if you do not specify specific places that you prefer to get off, he won't know. There is A LOT to see and do in this area and priorities are different for each guest. So it is important that you communicate to either me or the skipper about what is most important for you to see (if there is something specific in mind) that way we know and can allocate the day based on what you are most interested in doing. (This is also why you will hear from me or Lucia the day before the tour). Getting off the boat to go on land is optional- some people do and some do not. There are LOTS of villages, so picking and choosing where you prefer to go is important as well. If you are someone planning a day on the water with us and reading this- I only ask that you communicate with me beforehand. Read the itinerary that you are booking- read what boat you are booking, and then if you have preferences let me know and I am always happy to accomodate as best as I can, as are the skippers.
