Refused to change location despite being a private hire
We were a large family group which hired a private boat for snorkeling. I requested that we leave an area early that had been crowded by two other boats with loud music. We wanted to go to our previous location to snorkel and use the slide. I received pushback and was told no despite the boat being privatly hired. Another employee later told us they would give us extra time to snorkel and use the slide but we were then brought straight back to the beach. The boat is lovely, the crew fun, but expect to go to a sandbar crowded with boats and people.
Response from the operator: Hi Brandi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! After receiving your review, we spoke with the crew to better understand what happened. They explained that the request to return to the previous snorkeling location was made after approximately 11:10 AM. As your charter was scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we unfortunately didn't have enough time to return. One thing many guests don't realize is that in Bávaro/Punta Cana, larger commercial vessels are required to follow designated navigation routes. We can't simply turn around and sail back in a straight line, so returning to a previous stop takes considerably longer than it may appear. Because we also had another private charter departing at 12:00 PM, the crew explained that going back, anchoring, and allowing additional swimming time was no longer possible. Earlier in the tour, itinerary changes are almost always something we're happy to accommodate whenever timing allows. It's also worth mentioning that your charter was originally scheduled to include two stops, but the crew actually made three stops to give your group more time to enjoy the experience. In addition, while our light snacks normally include fresh fruit and nachos, the crew also provided sandwiches as an extra because we always try to go above and beyond for our guests whenever we can. That said, my main concern is what you mentioned about being told you would be able to return to the previous snorkeling location. The crew has advised that they don't believe that was what was communicated onboard, so there may have been an honest misunderstanding or miscommunication. If a crew member did, in fact, tell you that you would be returning to snorkel and use the slide again, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could email us at tours@coastlinecatamarans.com and let us know which crew member it was. If our procedures were not followed or inaccurate information was given, we have absolutely no problem taking appropriate disciplinary action. We take situations like this seriously because we never want our guests to leave feeling that expectations were set and then not met. While we're happy to hear you enjoyed the boat itself and found the crew fun, we're genuinely sorry that this misunderstanding affected your overall experience. Fun time and beautiful view
I had so much fun snorkeling and the view was beautiful! The water so so clear and my friends and I saw a variety of fish. Also I had THE BEST bartender named Vanessa, she made the best drinks and she made the experience super fun. I highly recommend this!!

Great time on the high seas!
Thirteen of us took a 6 hour private afternoon excursion to go snorkeling and tour the coast. Vanessa and Capt. Antony and crew were awesome. We even had a photographer Franco on board who captured amazing shots of us. They took us to prime snorkeling spots, a private beach and kept us in good spirits with snacks, cocktails and a champagne toast and birthday cake for the birthday boy! Booking was easy and prepared our middle-aged crowd well for the day’s adventure. Highly recommend!
