What you get
About this experience
Dinant is a city in Belgium’s Walloon Region. It’s on the banks of the Meuse River and backed by steep cliffs. Perched on an outcrop above town is the centuries-old fortified Citadel. It's now a museum with sweeping views. Below it is the Gothic Collegiate Church of Our Lady. Nearby, on the site of saxophone inventor Adolphe Sax’s birthplace, Mr. Sax’s House has interactive exhibits on the instrument’s development. Namur is the capital city of the Wallonia region of Belgium. At the confluence of the Meuse and Sambre rivers is the Citadel, a medieval fortress with 7km of underground passages, gardens, views and a golden statue of a giant turtle. In town, the Felicien Rops Museum focuses on the works of this 19th-century, Namur-born erotic artist. The baroque St. Loup Church has marble columns and a richly carved ceiling. Enjoy this 2 wonderful cities with a local official tour guide and a profesional driver at your disposal during the total duration of the tour.

What you'll see and do
Citadelle de Dinant
fortress overlooks the city of Dinant and is part of the so-called ‘Meuse Citadels’ (with the two others located in Huy and Namur). To go up this cultural hotspot, you can either walk up the 405 steps or take the cable car that costs around 11 EUR. It’s well worth your time to visit this place since it does not only have an Arms Museum but it will also reward you with a great aerial view of Dinant!

Pont Charles-de-Gaulle
The main bridge in Dinant is called as ‘Charles De Gaulle’ to commemorate of the presence of Charles de Gaulle himself — a previous president of the French Republic — when he was shot in the leg during the major battle in Dinant back in August 1914. Last 2014 which was the 100th anniversary of World War I, they have put up a statue of Charles at the foot of the bridge as a way of celebrating their association with him (which is somehow ironic and odd).

Maison de Monsieur Sax
Speaking of Adolphe Sax, even if he had only lived in this town for a year before his family moved to Brussels and then to Paris, Dinant didn’t want to miss the opportunity of claiming him as their “son” and even celebrating his achievements with such gusto! Therefore, gigantic saxophones are not only found on the Charles de Gulle bridge, but can also be found on certain areas around the city. To add, they have even set up an open museum to Sax in the location where his family’s original home used to be and it’s named as the Maison de Monsieur Sax. (Right outside this place, you will even see a bronze sculpture of Sax himself who is sitting on a bench, ‘waiting’ for someone to do a photo op with him!)

Rocher Bayard
Located between Dinant and Anseremme, the Bayard Rock is a spectacular rocky needle that is about 40 meters high and this… was quite a sight! Legend has it that it was formed when it was split by the hoof of Bayard, a giant magical horse that carried the 4 sons of Aymon (an ancient epic).

How much does Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up cost?
+
Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Brussels usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up take?
+

Is Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (0/5 across 0 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Brussels, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up?
+

Is Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Brussels can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Brussels and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 8-hour Tour to Namur and Dinant from Brussels with Hotel Pick Up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Brussels within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Brussels?
+
On Outty we rank every Brussels experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Brussels: Historical Walking Tour with Chocolate & Waffle Tasting, Hungry Mary's Famous Beer and Chocolate Tour in Brussels, Brussels Chocolate Beer Waffle and Belgian Whiskey All-in-One (Small Group) Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Brussels?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Brussels?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
