Retirement dream finally realized
We went as a couple celebrating our retirement. Sixty five combined years of work and we picked Egypt. Our guide was exactly our age and we talked about retirement plans and grandchildren between temples. At the GEM we sat on a bench facing the colossal Ramses and just breathed together. Admission fee covered the entire experience and we never counted pennies. Visit length at the museum was three hours of slow walking. Atmosphere was dignified and unhurried. Crowd size was moderate but the building absorbed soundStaff on the cruise helped my husband charge his hearing aid battery when he forgot the adapter. Best for retirees.

A trip to EGYPT WITH MIX FEELINGS
I have mix feelings about this trip since I have two totally different experiences with this company. 1) Cairo experience: overall it was awful, BOB my first driver was AMAZING! he was king, talkative and made the first drives pleasant, however, my first guide was AWFUL, probably the worst i have ever have and I have been in 65 different countries. POOR hygiene, he didnt let me take pictures, rushing me around, I did not like him at alla he was rude as well. Also, the second DRIVER was also awful, he drove like a MANIAC, and rushed as well, overall the qualily was poor and I lost my GEM museum experience since I was rushed all the time. 2) ASWAN & LUXOR: AHMED was amazing, BEST BEST BEST GUIDE EVER!!!!! he was kind, funny, patience, took picutres, knowledgeable, on time , he made those 3 days AMAZING! i totally recommend him 100%. I wish I could provide 5 star but since cairo was 2 days and it was an awful experience I feel 3 stars is fair. If you go and book with this company book AHMED! Also, note that my first guide was for spanish language and then changed to english. In terms of pricing and quality of cuise and hotel it was as expected and I dont have complain, as an advise for the company they have to make sure they stabiize their standards its important! All other logistics, tickets and else was fine, no complains.
Response from the operator: Dear valuable client , first of all many thanks for your time to let us know your feedback about your experience in Egypt, we are really sorry about your bad experience with your tour guide in Cairo and we are really appreciated that you told us immediately then we changed him for you in the second day of your journey . We are very happy with your kind words about Ahmed your second tour guide who stayed with you the rest of your journey . Many thanks for your nice feeling that you wish to give us 5 star but to tell us truth this is really important for us to keep updating our services. We are so glad that your hotel , cruise ship, logistics, pricing , quality , our company and tickets all were perfect and no complains . Thanks again and hopefully see you again in Egypt.

A tour that respected my solo rhythm
I traveled solo and usually I hate guided tours because I like moving at my own pace. This one earned my trust. The domestic flight saved me a full day of driving and the cruise ship felt like a floating boutique hotel not a crowded barge. I woke up in Luxor went to breakfast and walked off the ship into sixteen hundred years of history. Admission fee for the Luxor Temple at night is separate but worth it because the columns are lit from below and look like they are floating. Crowd size was thin at the evening visit. Staff at the front desk remembered my room number without checking the computer. Length of visit at the Cairo sites was well paced and I never felt chased. The GEM staircase alone is a masterpiece. Best for independent travelers suspicious of groups.

Tall guys hit heads at temples
We booked as friends and we are all tall guys. The temple doorways at Karnak and Edfu were not built for our height. I hit my head twice. Our guide laughed with us not at us and pointed out ancient Egyptian doorways which were also low. Defense mechanism probably. Admission fee included everything and we felt the value immediately. Visit length was comprehensive and we appreciated the water stations. Atmosphere was hot but bearable. Crowd size at Karnak was busy but the columns are so massive you forget people exist. Staff on the cruise offered us ice packs and ibuprofen without being asked. Best for tall travelers
Response from the operator: Dear valuable tall customer, it's really our great pleasure that you have enjoyed your 7 days in Egypt with our knowledgeable and funny tour guide at ancient Egypt monuments

Lotus perfume from Aswan market
I went solo and I collect perfumes. Our guide noticed my interest at the Cairo museum and recommended a small essential oil shop near the Aswan market. The owner walked me through ten different scents including lotus which ancient Egyptians wore. I bought oil for my sister and she cried when she smelled it. Admission fee for the shop was zero and the purchase was forty dollars. Visit length at the main sites was never rushed. Atmosphere at the perfume shop was intimate and generous. Crowd size at the market was lively but the shop was quiet. Staff on the cruise helped me pack the glass bottles in bubble wrap. Best for fragrance lovers.
Response from the operator: Our pleasure that you have enjoyed your time at the essential oil shop in Aswan in the place that our guide recommend it to you , so happy to know that no rush at the sites that you have visited

Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 7 Days Egypt heart GEM pyramids cruise Abu simbel start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
