Another excellent trip with Agate Travel

this was our third private tour with Agate, and another resounding success. Everything ran seamlessly once in South America. The internal flights and ransfers all ran to time, the guides were uniformally excellent and flexible. it was a very varied trip from the beach in Rio to glaciers in Patagonia, so factor in packing wisely and allow for the fact that internal flights have a 15kg weight limit unless you pay extra. We really appreciated the free days in both Rio and Buenos Aires, to fit in the sights and experiences not in the itinerary. The hotels were all fine and very well located. although only breakfast is included, that wasn't a problem at all as South America has plenty of places to eat well and cheaply, though this is slightly less the case in el Calafete which is, understandably, pricier and the hotel is located outside town though runs a free shuttle bus service into the town centre. In fact the worst bit of the holiday was waiting on the tarmac at at Heathrow once our return flight had landed and a arduous taxi journey home in the UK due to roadworks/closures. NOT Agate's fault at all! Thank you to Wendy for being an excellent travel consultant.

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, thanks sharing your tour review! We are so glad to know that you enjoyed a memorable trip in Argentina and satisifed with our services. Usually, we do not arrange lunches and dinners in tours, so that you may explore the local dishes freely with the guide's suggestions. We are sorry to hear that your back home journey was not that smooth and we hope it didn't bother you too much. Thank you again for having chosen us. We look forward to offering you with more wonderful journeys! Best regards.

    Iguzzu falls and Patagonia

Agate Travel agency arranged a private tour for seven of us from Rio de janeiro, to Foz Iguazu, Puerto Iguazu, Ushuaia, El Calafate and ending in Buenos Aires. One word to describe the hoilday....Seamless!! We were picked up on time from every airport and toured all the sights as promised. Guides were experienced and informative. Lovely holiday and many thanks to Ms Emily Xin for coordinating it all!

Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buenos Aires.

How much does Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $3,899 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Buenos Aires usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buenos Aires is not rushed.

Is Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Buenos Aires, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buenos Aires can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buenos Aires and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private 7-Day Classic Argentina Family Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buenos Aires within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Buenos Aires?

    +

On Outty we rank every Buenos Aires experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Argentine Cooking, Wine & Beef Tasting at Argentine Experience, Historical Sherpa Food Tour of San Telmo with Street Food, Drinks, Cooking Class with Empanadas Steak & Flan by Argentine Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Buenos Aires?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Buenos Aires?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
