Amazing tour with Luigi
Luigi was amazing! We had such a fun time with this tour and we would do it again! Our guide was really helpful and friendly and we loved the experience. We swam and stopped for lunch. Do this tour if you’re going to amalfi coast instead of a group one! ❤️

Amazing way to tour the Amalfi Coast
Our cruise stopped in Salerno and all sea excursions through them were booked up so I found a private cruise in our own and that was the best decision ever. The communication leading up to the trip was excellent, clear directions on payment, location and trip details. We met Marco at the docks just steps away from the cruise port and were on the water immediately. It was completely up to us where we wanted to go and how long we wanted to stay. We trekked along the coast and got great explanations on each town and the history in each. We got recommendations on where to go on our stop in Amalfi, went to a good restaurant a little past there, and had a couple swimming stops. We enjoyed some limoncello and beer on the way back to port. The sights of the coast and how each town is built into the hillside is an amazing view. An absolutely fantastic way to see the Amalfi Coast, I would not have done it any other way.

Amazing trip along the Amalfi coast!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This private boat tour was hands down the highlight of our entire Italian trip. Manuel, our skipper — incredibly skilled on the water, and one of the nicest people we’ve met. He took the time to understand what we wanted and crafted a route that was perfect for us — multiple swimming stops in caves and under waterfalls, visits to gorgeous beaches, a stop in Positano, and lunch at an amazing restaurant we never would have found on our own. This was more than just a boat ride. It was a full day experience that we will talk about for years. We will absolutely be back!

Best experience of our trip!
We had an amazing private boat tour along the Amalfi Coast—one of the highlights of our entire trip! Our guide, Guido, was wonderful: knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and incredibly accommodating. He customized the day around what we wanted to see and never made us feel rushed. Everything was seamless from booking to the tour itself, whether you’re staying nearby or visiting on a cruise. Seeing the Amalfi Coast from the water was unforgettable and absolutely worth the splurge. We would highly recommend this experience—and especially Guido!

Why this scores 84

Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amalfi.
How much does Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano cost?
+
Prices start at $470 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amalfi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amalfi is not rushed.
Is Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 183 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Amalfi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano?
+
Around 64 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amalfi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amalfi and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 40hp Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast and Positano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amalfi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amalfi?
+
On Outty we rank every Amalfi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hands-On Cooking Class & Farmhouse Tour on the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast Boat Rental: Explore, Swim, and Relax at Your Pace, Amalfi: Kayak-Snorkeling to Pandora Cave Hidden Beach & Aperitif. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amalfi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amalfi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
