Beautiful hike and wildlife with a view of Sao Paulo

Luiz was a wonderful tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and we did a relaxed hike to look for wildlife. We found monkeys, a deer and lots of birds! The view from the top was stunning.

OK experience in the rain forest

The trip was pretty good. It served the purpose of making for an interestind day in Sao Paulo between flights. Our guide was very conscientious, charming and dedicated, but he has not well-versed in the natural history of the park and Atlantic rain forest. The view WAS SPECTACULAR, but we did not see much in the way of birds and animals, and the guide's knowledge of the plants was limited. J&A

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, I would like to thank you for your review! It is very important to us to receive feedbacks and learn what we can do to improve our services. Our Tour Guides are accredited and qualified for this work, through the Ministry of Tourism of Brazil. In order to obtain this credential, it is necessary to complete a course of approximately 2 years and take some tests to obtain the credential and work in the profession. In addition to this course, our Guides carry out specializations that enable them to carry out Tours focused on various subjects, such as architecture, arts, and the environment. The Guides who carry out our Eco Tours have taken courses focused on the environment and ecology, which allows them to guide travelers through natural attractions, highlighting the diversity and importance of these ecosystems for Brazil and the world. The guide who assisted you, took these courses and graduated as a Technician in Environmental Management at a technical school in the city of São Paulo. We were informed that you are professional biologists, and in this case we could have assisted you with a guide graduated in this área. This possibility could have been offered, but we would need to have been informed of this condition in advance, in order to provide the appropriate professional for the tour. In the description of our services, we inform you that our Guides are not Biologists or Ornithologists and if you would like to be accompanied by a Guide specialized in these areas, you would need to contact us in advance. Our services were designed and are aimed at the general public and not specialists and professionals in a certain area. We are pleased to present the beauties of our city and region in the best possible way and we will be delighted to serve you again in the near future! Cordial greetings,

    Great tour

I had an extra day while visiting Sao Paulo on business and decided to make the most of it. Luiz was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to spend time with. The park was beautiful, especially the trails off the main path where you could get a true sense of the forest. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Hi there! We are very happy to receive your review! Thanks for spending your time leaving us a message! Have a great day! Best regards

    Pai Zé Trail (Jaraguá Peak)

The Paseo was very good, gave to appreciate the trail, the animals and even the way through the city. Our guide Luis with a great English showed and explained a bit of the history of São Paulo to my Danish boyfriend. During the trail he explained to us about the forest, the animals and the different vegetations. I highly recommend the tour, not only for foreigners, but for Brazilians as well. Mop

Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sao Paulo.

How much does Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve cost?

    +

Prices start at $205 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sao Paulo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sao Paulo is not rushed.

Is Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sao Paulo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sao Paulo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sao Paulo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private 4-hour Ecotour to Cantareira or Jaraguá Forest Reserve start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sao Paulo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sao Paulo?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sao Paulo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Rio in One Day: Christ Redeemer, Sugarloaf & Local Lunch, 5-hour Private Tour Of São Paulo With Its Main Sights – Optional Airport Pickup, 6-Hour Classic Half-Day Private Tour of São Paulo – Optional Airport Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sao Paulo?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sao Paulo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
