    Really very regrettable,...

...that we cannot report more positively about our experience with Sultana Tours - here, unlike most other reviewers, we seem to have been quite unlucky. We had booked our trip through the Alltours tour guide - bilingual, in Spanish and English, and with a total of 27 participants. Since our hotel in Bayahibe was further away from the starting point, we were picked up in the lobby around 6 a.m. and taken to Punta Cana, where we boarded the actual tour bus. Here we also met our guide, Carlos. We were promised an included breakfast by the tour guide, which makes sense given the early pickup time. The first disappointment followed here, as it consisted of a small pack of dry crackers and a juice box - we didn't get anything to eat until after 12 p.m., and that was only due to a last-minute rescheduling of our route (they had finally realized that the time span without food was turning out to be a bit long). Arriving at the first spot, where we could take photos on the sky swing and such at Montana Redonda, everything still seemed quite relaxed, so there was enough time to look at everything in peace, take photos, use the restrooms, etc. Here we were still surprised that no other tourists were to be seen on site besides us. But then two more buses appeared, at least one of them also from Sultana Tours, and from then on, the pure rushing began. At every subsequent spot, it was clearly noticeable that our experience was no longer the priority, but rather a quick handling so that we wouldn't get in the way of the other groups, who were apparently doing the same tour and were always on our heels. Things got quite hectic at the cocoa and coffee plantation. Everyone who was interested could climb a very high treehouse at the beginning, which was reached by many steep and narrow stairs. However, people were practically chased up and down them (which is certainly not safe), because a tight schedule had to be kept. In general, everything here was timed down to the minute: From tasting a cocoa bean to feeding a tethered donkey, to sampling homemade chocolate cream, the two courses of the meal, and the subsequent swimming at the waterfall, one never had the feeling of exploration and adventure, but only of quick processing. It should be mentioned, however, that the people on the farm were very warm and caring, and there was extremely delicious and fresh food - in this regard, everything was perfectly organized. The most unpleasant part of the tour followed at the last stop, the boat trip through the mangroves with a subsequent visit to a cave. Hardly had the boat docked in front of the cave when Carlos sprinted directly toward the cave entrance. Although some participants still needed to use the restroom, which was located right on the shore, Carlos shouted from a distance that we were going into the cave now, that anyone who was not there now could wait at the shore, and that he would share every piece of information exactly once and not again - at this point, some were already in the restroom and then had to find their way back to the group on their own. In the partly narrow cave, we naturally had to spread out a bit with almost 30 participants. Therefore, a total of three people had a large flashlight with them to light the way for all of us. My girlfriend and I were walking at the very back of the group with our boat captain, who was also equipped with a lamp - Carlos was at the very front. Suddenly he came rushing to the back because his flashlight had a loose connection and was only flickering. So he swapped the lamp with the captain, which is why we now had to walk in the dark at the back. A narrow and very slippery passage followed, which I illuminated at least in part with the flashlight on my smartphone. In order to also brighten the way for the participants behind me, who were also overwhelmed in the darkness, I turned around with my cell phone light and stepped into the void in the dark next to the paved wooden path, so that I got a few scratches on my leg and arm because I slid down along the cave wall. Another couple as well as the people behind me rushed to me immediately because they thought I could have been seriously injured - thank God, however, the shock was greater than the damage. Carlos did not notice any of this because he had completely lost sight of our rear part of the group. At the last stop at the gas station, I then pointed out his negligence with the lamp to Carlos in a really friendly way and specifically not in front of the other participants, and I showed him my scratches so that he would realize what consequences this haste can have and that the action could also have gone wrong. He did not come up with more than an "oh, what a shame, how annoying!" though. From this point on at the latest, the whole day was ruined for me. During the trip and also at the individual spots, Carlos had made an effort to show and explain many things to us - not only in the two designated languages, but as the only German participants, he had also offered us the chance to ask him questions in German if we did not understand something. I found that very thoughtful. Nevertheless, I did not understand why he was unnecessarily loud very often on the way back in the bus by singing, yelling into the microphone, or making loud noises - even though some would have liked to sleep during the really long drives (we spent well over half of the almost 15 hours here just on the bus). There was a photographer on the tour who was fortunately not intrusive. He had quickly noticed and accepted that some prefer to take their own snapshots, so he focused on those who gladly accepted his offer - I have read about this quite differently with other providers and count this as a positive. All in all, I unfortunately still cannot recommend this provider.

    Amazing, fun, unforgettable, and breathtaking!

My father booked this private 3 in 1 adventure for my family and I, and it was an unforgettable experience! Before we set off, we met our amazing guide, Caesar, and our magnificent driver, Sebastian. These two gentlemen made our trip worth every penny!! Caesar took the time to get to know our family and created memories we will never forget! We all had such a great time and an incredible day of fun thanks to Caesar and his amazing trabajo! We were even able to keep in touch with Caesar and hopefully get to talk to him soon! Sebastian was kind enough to make sure we got to and from all our adventures safely and comfortably, and we are so grateful. Thank you Sebastian!! We also got to share some snacks from back home with the both of them— twizlers and lemon wafers!! We hope they enjoyed them and we hope to see Caesar in the states someday soon!!

An all-day affair that will not disappoint!

This experience was worth every penny! You must request Caesar as your guide as he was intriguing, knowledgeable, speaks multiple languages and made our expedition a family moment we will never forget! Sebastian was our driver who kept us safe and navigated us comfortably through the absolute beauty this country has to offer. The destinations provided us breathtaking views, amazing food and truly, exposure to the kindest people you will ever meet. Caesar is now our brother and we have gained more from this one day than we could have ever expected. My children will be better people in the world and for myself, the gratitude is tear worthy. Much love and cheers to a friendship that will last us a lifetime!

PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda cost?

    +

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    Can I cancel or reschedule PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PRIVATE: 3in1 - Los Haitises N.P. + Y. Waterfall + Mount. Redonda start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave, Small Group Buggy Tour to Water Cave and Macao Beach. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
