Amazing views of the big five and other wildlife.
Three amazing game drives. We saw all of the big 5, including rhinos at the rhino sanctuary. Our driver Ashraf was good at explaining the birds and animals we were seeing. Also did boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Stayed at Pakuba Safari Lodge. Close to the beginning of the game drives.

Great first safari experience
Frank was a superb guide trying to make the best opportunities for us in the limited time we had. He was a great driver in what is (to us) a very chaotic driving environment and the recommendations he made to our schedule based on the needs of everyone in the group were spot on. We really enjoyed our small boat tour which turned out to be more conducive to our interests. I think Frank did every thing he could to make the most of our short time there. His depth of knowledge and natural enthusiasm were a wonderful combination contributing to our adventure. I would highly recommend Frank any time. On the chimpanzee walk, Frank lent me his binoculars that were suspended on a harness that was so much more comfortable than the strap around the neck. When I got home I ordered one for myself and two others for some birder friends. I know they will also be grateful for this improvement to carry binoculars.
Response from the operator: Dear Vicky, Thank you so much for taking your time to write this amazing review about your trip in murchison falls national park. We are glad that frank took good care of you while you were in the wilderness and the knowledge he shared with you about Uganda, culture and the people. we are so excited to know that frank shared a positive impact that you shared with your team back home regarding the best binoculars. we hope to see you and host you once again, thanks regards, SIMBA AFRICA EXPEDITIONS TEAM

Great tour and guide
This is a short but comprehensive tour. Frank was a great guide. He suggested a private boat tour and we requested a night game drive which he happily arranged. Both were additional but reasonably priced and well worth the extra cost. The only problems were the broken air conditioner in the vehicle (you NEED air conditioning on the 5 hour, dusty drive from Kampala) and the menu at the mid priced lodge, which did not provide a seafood or vegetarian option even though I was told they would. We also missed lunch the first day because of a lengthy wait at the park entrance. No one’s fault but it would have been nice to have a sandwich or fruit upon arrival. The location of the lodge is lovely and the servers couldn’t be more helpful. Hot water was a problem but that’s true throughout the country. Patricia checked on us to make sure all was going well and communication during booking was great. I can certainly recommend Simba Tours!
Response from the operator: Dear Sandra, Thank you so much for this amazing review about your 3 days trip to murchison falls and chimp tracking in budongo forest. I am glad frank and Patricia took good care of you while your in Uganda. we Apologize for the broken AC during your trip back to Kampala such feedback helps to improve and know how to handle some situations better with other clients and the meal they didn't provide, we promise to improve and check on that with the service providers as well. We hope to see you once again, thanks regards, SIMBA AFRICA EXPEDITIONS

Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.
How much does Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing cost?
+
Prices start at $1,159 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.
Is Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 3 days Murchison Falls, Boat cruise and wildlife viewing start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kampala?
+
On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kampala?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kampala?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
