Absolutely perfect and worthwhile experience in New Zealand!

We arrived in New Zealand’s South Island with very little idea of what to expect beyond the beautiful images we had seen of green meadows, sheep, cows, and stunning lakes. Looking back, one of the best decisions we made was booking with Travelngo and having Jay as our private guide and driver. From the very beginning, Jay went above and beyond to make our trip truly unforgettable. He showed us the breathtaking beauty of Glenorchy, Wanaka, Tekapo, and the surrounding towns, sharing interesting stories and local insights that made every destination even more meaningful. His passion for New Zealand was evident throughout the journey, and his warm personality made us feel comfortable and well-taken care of at all times. What made the experience even more special was Jay’s attention to detail. He patiently took countless beautiful photos for us, helping us capture memories that we will treasure forever. Every day felt effortless, enjoyable, and perfectly planned — thanks to his professionalism and dedication. We are incredibly grateful to Jay and the entire Travelngo team for giving us such an amazing experience. The memories we created on this trip will stay with us for a lifetime, and we cannot thank you enough for making our visit to New Zealand so special. We wholeheartedly recommend Travelngo to anyone visiting New Zealand, especially the South Island. If you have the opportunity, be sure to request Jay as he will make your trip even more memorable than you imagined. Thank you, Jay, for your kindness, hospitality, and all the wonderful memories. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Until next time!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a beautiful and detailed review of your 3-day private tour through Queenstown, Glenorchy, Wanaka, and Tekapo! Reading your words completely brightened our day here at Travelngo. It is incredibly rewarding to hear that we were able to turn those postcard images of our green meadows, pristine lakes, and rolling hills into a living, breathing reality for you. We are absolutely thrilled that your time here felt effortless and magical from start to finish. We’ve made sure to pass your generous words along to Jay. He was absolutely delighted to hear your feedback! Jay takes immense pride in sharing the magic of the South Island, and he laughed with joy when we mentioned his "patient photography skills"—he always loves making sure our guests go home with the perfect shots to look back on. His passion, storytelling, and dedication are exactly what we strive for, and we are so proud to have him on our team. Thank you for wholeheartedly recommending Travelngo and Jay to fellow travelers. It was a true pleasure hosting you, and we would love nothing more than to welcome you back whenever you're ready to explore more of our beautiful backyard.

Jay was an excellent guide. Highly recommend

I had Jay for a guide for three days in and around Queenstown. I saw so much more than I would have on my own. Jay was attentive and always checking to see if I wanted to stop for anything. He noticed that I liked photography so he stopped at the best overlooks and hidden gems. He of course knows the Lord of the Rings spots. If he didn’t know the answer to my question immediately, the next time we stopped while I was taking pictures he was looking up the answer to my obscure questions. Even after the day ended he encouraged me to write him with questions. Sometimes it was a question about a bird that I saw, other times it was restaurant suggestions. My visit to Queenstown was much better for having had Jay as a guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the wonderful review and recommendation. I’m glad the three days around Queenstown, Glenorchy, Wanaka, and Tekapo gave you experiences you wouldn’t have had on your own. It was a pleasure tailoring the trip around your love of photography and making sure you had time at the best viewpoints and hidden spots. Thank you for choosing TravelnGo, and I’m truly pleased I could help make your Queenstown visit more memorable.

Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Queenstown.

How much does Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo cost?

+

Prices start at $1125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Queenstown usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Queenstown is not rushed.

Is Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Queenstown, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Queenstown can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Queenstown and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private 3 Day Queenstown Glenorchy Wanaka and Tekapo start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Queenstown within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Queenstown?

+

On Outty we rank every Queenstown experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Milford Sound Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Milford Sound Premium Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Award Winning Premium Wine Tour Queenstown Tasting at 4 Wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Queenstown?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Queenstown?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
