Fantastic Overview of Los Angeles!
We toured with Jim, and it was fantastic. Great communication from the start, timely pickup, comfortable and large vehicle (stocked with water). We saw the highlights of LA as well as lesser known areas, hearing interesting facts and Hollywood lore along the way. We were able to get a great shot of the Hollywood sign and Jim even made suggestions for lunch spots. My daughters said they wished we had another three hours with Jim. The tour was a highlight of our trip to LA!
Response from the operator: Maria, it was my pleasure spending the time with you and your family. Thanks for choosing us and hope to see you again! Best, Jim

Delightful tour
Delightful tour, wonderful guide David, we had a great time! And the customization is the best part. David worked in a taco stand stop for us. He took pictures for us and regaled us with fascinating stories. We highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the kind words. David is certainly a treasure. Best, Jim

A wonderful afternoon nosing LA’s celebrity spots with a knowledges guide in a luxurious car
Even before our tour started Jimmy was ready to help by collecting our luggage so we could spend an unencumbered hour shopping before Sherrod collected us in a luxury SUV. The kids were already sold when they discovered the box of snacks and goodies waiting in the back seat. Sherrod, a genuinely nice guy, gave us a fantastic customised tour showing us a few tour guide secrets and plenty of insight to celebrity. The icing on the cake was being dropped off at LAX to arrive refreshed and ready for our flight home.
Response from the operator: A pleasure meeting you all, even briefly. I had to pass the baton over to one of our amazing guides. We thank you and your family for utilizing our private Los Angeles tour service. As you mentioned, this was your last day in Southern California to take in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We hope we showed you enough great sightseeing destinations in your short window of opportunity before departing back to New Zealand, that the city will see you all again in the future when you have a bit more time. Thank you again, from Sherrod, myself, and the rest of the Glitterati Tours team!

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.
How much does Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills cost?
+
Prices start at $341 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.
Is Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 3.5 Hour Sightseeing Tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?
+
Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Los Angeles Original 90-Minute Walking Tour to The Hollywood Sign. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?
+
March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Angeles?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
