Private 2-Day Tour to El Minya from Cairo Visiting Tuna El Gabal & Tel El Amarna

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IN EGYPT

Really an excellent experience that we had with this agency during our stay in Cairo, from the customer service when we purchased the package tour with Hoda, to the visits to all the contracted sites, complimented, friendly, helpful, picked us up at the airport and dropped us right there. The main thing about our trip was the careful attention of our guide Amaní, unforgettable!!! a beautiful person, with a smile always on his face, full of patience to attend to our requirements, gave us a variety of options, took us to beautiful places, always attentive that we felt good, takes excellent photographs, sweet and friendly, sincerely I think that without her who behaved like a Madré for us, the experience would not have been the same, thank you infinites Amaní, we will never forget you!!!!!

Complete waste of money!

We booked a 2 day trip to El Minya. Which ended up being 48 hours of constant disappointment! I would not recommend using Sun Pyramid Tours for anything. If I could rate less than 1 star I would! The driver was good and for the most part we felt very safe. Except when he was driving back to Cairo. He was driving very fast, breaking hard and taking unnecessary risks. In El Minya and for all the tours, the driver didn’t know where he was going and more than once stopped to ask for directions. We felt like we wasted so much time in the back of the car while the driver and the guide were trying to figure out where we were going. We booked an English speaking guide. While the guide spoke English, he didn't understand English. He had never been before to El Minya, and told us on more than one occasion. He couldn’t answer most of my questions about Amarna or Beni Hassen. He couldn't even read a map of Amarna. When the driver was lost he was supposed to help with the navigation, but didn't know how to navigate on Google maps. We had asked before the trip if we could leave out the El Minya city tour and be back in Cairo by 3pm, which both the guide and the driver were aware. But the guide didn't take into account the visiting time or the trip back, and we arrived back in Cairo late. Even when we were picked up from the train station, we were told they would be there at 7am, and they arrived at 7:45am (strolling over with a cigarette and coffee). They even parked away from the train station so we had to walk to the car. For this trip, when we paid, we were told we would be booked into a 4 star hotel. When we arrived in El Minya, we stopped outside a 2 star hotel in a back ally. When we challenged this, we were informed the 4 star per the booking form was not good. So instead of providing us with an alternative 4 star option, I was told your company had booked this 2 star hotel (even though it was more expensive than a 4 star). I explained I expected to stay in a 4 star, so they quickly rebooked with one of the original hotels per the booking sheet, which had terrible reviews. The room was disgusting, and the breakfast was terrible. Our only options offered was either this disgusting 4 star hotel or an unknown 2 star hotel in an area away from the main road. All I wanted was a 4 star hotel overlooking the Nile in a nice area, which is what I paid for. We loved the time spent in Armana and Beni Hassen, and it would have been equally as interesting without the guide. DO NOT this tour with Sun Pyramids Tours!

Highly recommended. Two day trips with Sun Pyramid Tours the best we've taken.

We took the 1-day trip to Beni Hassan and Tel Al-Amarna from Giza. Super deluxe, with hotel pickup, spacious and comfortable van, built-in security, and excellent guide Mohamed Fayed and skillful driver Yosiree. Mohamed knows the history and culture of Egypt from ancient to modern times and is charming and funny to boot. The sites we visited-- colorful tombs and sprawling palace ruins--would probably be crammed with tourists anywhere but Egypt, but we had them to ourselves. Drive was long but very scenic, with Yosiree's Egyptian radio music and plenty of snacks to keep us happy.

Wonderful experience :)

I had a really great experience with this company. They communicated with me via WhatsApp prior to meeting and supported me from my hotel to El Minya in a private vehicle with a driver Ahmed and guide Mohammed. My driver and my guide were very friendly and informative. Mohammed was able to answer all my questions and went above and beyond in sharing all his knowledge, giving a great tour, as well as being a personal photographer! Highly recommend this tour, especially if you have an interest in Amarna period Egypt.
