Lovely boat ride
Lovely boat ride around Elephantine Island. The wind was too much to allow for a felucca ride (by order of the river police) so we did a motor boat instead, but it was still nice. Our guide was informative and chatty (in a good way). About halfway through, they put out blankets and pillows and we sat on the roof of the boat for a better view.
Response from the operator: Dear our valued customer Thank you for your support and we would like to inform that we are taking every measure to ensure better service and greater customer satisfaction at all time . Ido wish to welcome you and your family in one of our tours soon ^_^ Best regards, Emo Tours Egypt

Fellucia trip in Aswan on the Nile river
We booked this few days before the trip. On the day we booked there was no winds favorable for the Fellucia trip so the guide took us in a boat and did not offer cancellation. I would not recommend booking this ride in advance but rather book it when you see the Fellucia’s on the river on the particular day, one is planning to go. Having said this, the guide was knowledgeable, apologetic and tried to make the best of the circumstances. We also visited the botanical garden which had a good collection of plants / trees from around the world.

We did not get the whole described experience
View of the Nile is amazing. We strongly recommend a felucca ride, but make sure you know what you book and clarify. We started the trip nicely, enjoying the view of the nile after being picked up at our hotel in the Nubian Village and brought to the felucca. After about 30 mins of ride or so, we mention the botanical garden as we see it approaching and the guide tells us (to our suprise) that there are no stops. The description of this felucca ride clearly states 2 x 30 min stops. So we had to waste our time arguing with him instead of enjoying the ride. He made a few calls back to Emo Tours Egypt (his bosses) to verify. After a while, we were able to get him to stop at the Botanical Garden only. We were rushed through this part and only got about 20 mins of stop. Note that we payed 2 x 40$ US for this experience. He was asking us to pay an extra 40 Euro to stop at the other island which we refused. Also, note that the felucca captain was a very nice and sweet man and obviously felt bad for what was happening with the guide. As a final note, the guide was not really a guide, more of a handler. I mean he did not give any explanations of what we were seeing. I thought the definition of "guide" in this experience's description means that we will be hearing something from him. I had to actually tell him myself that the botanical garden was the work of an English gentlemen: surprised, he told me no. Lord Kitcheneris even mentioned in the description of this experience, my god. I find this is a problem with Trippadvisor and their platform. I could almost swear the add changed a few times between my booking to my review. I dont get how come that when you reserve an activity, you cannot get a simple hard copy e-mail confirming the trip details and inclusions that you can use as proof later... Plus all the communications with the event host are not accessible after the experience has ended ...

Would not recommend
Felucca trip was only half of the way, motorised boat the other half. No guide or explanation. Organiser tried to scam us - we wanted to stop at the botanical gardens (which was an option on the ticket) and we were told we had to pay 20 USD when the entrance is only 30 EGP.

No show - ruined my time in Aswan
Never showed up and ignored my texts/calls! Despite being active on WhatsApp, my attempts to reach “Nice Tours” were ignored and I sat waiting to be picked up until well after sunset when I gave up. Still haven’t gotten refund - DO NOT BOOK THIS!!!

Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aswan.
How much does Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aswan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aswan is not rushed.
Is Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aswan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aswan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aswan and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 1-Hour Felucca Sailing and Botanical Garden In Aswan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aswan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aswan?
+
On Outty we rank every Aswan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 4-Day 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor&Abu Simbel+Balloon, 4-Day 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor - Private Tour, 3 or 2 or 1 Nights Mighty Nile Felucca Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aswan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aswan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
