What you'll see and do

  1. Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)

Our day begins with an approx. 90-minute drive to the coast south-west of Bangkok. On the way we drive past traditional sea salt manufactory - here sea salt is produced by natural drying outdoors. Then it's off to one of the largest and arguably most extraordinary seafood markets in Thailand! Experience from two perspectives how the railway market and the train share the common space on the tracks in a spectacular way: first you take the train to the station, then you watch the train exit from the track. You will be amazed at how routine chaos can be!

  2. Coconut Sugar Farm

(Departure earlier than 6.45am only) Here you can experience how coconut nectar is produced by Thai farmers. Learn all the steps from cutting the coconut flower to pouring the nectar into a bamboo container to boiling and pasteurizing the nectar.

  3. Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

The markets in Thailand are among the most important experiences in the country. They give you a vivid insight into the traditional culture of a country that often lives on and from the water. The bustle of the many small trader boats has been admired here for over 100 years! There is mainly fresh Thai fruit and vegetables, but also ready-made dishes such as mango with sticky rice, coconut ice cream or the typical boat noodles.

Unforgettable day tour

All the attractions on offer were met and we even took the train to Train Markt. We had plenty of time for private explorations everywhere. Pat showed us a lot and answered all the questions. On the way we stopped at a local restaurant for lunch and it was very delicious. The boat tour to the mangrove monkey forest was unique and was a lot of fun. Thanks to our guide. His German was very good.

Response from the operator: Vielen Dank 😀

+

How far in advance should I book Priv. German speaking tour:Floating Markets, Train Market, Klong Kon?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

+

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
