    Awesome tour

Love this tour! Our guide, Max, was funny, friendly, and caring—we couldn't have asked for a better guide. It was so worth it because we had a lot of time to learn about the ancient ruins of Pompeii. The walk up Mount Vesuvius was tiring, but absolutely worth it once you see the views from the top. Highly recommend this experience!

Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you loved your tour and had such an unforgettable day exploring Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius! Max is going to be over the moon when he reads your kind words. His signature blend of humor, warmth, and genuine care always makes everyone feel so well looked after, and he will be thrilled to know he made your experience so special. It's great to hear that you had plenty of time to dive deep into the fascinating history of Pompeii's ancient ruins, and that you tackled the climb up Vesuvius! That walk up the volcanic trail is certainly a workout, but as you mentioned, those breathtaking views from the top make every single step completely worth it. Thank you for your high recommendation and for choosing IAMME IA! Gray Line. We hope to welcome you back for another fantastic adventure in the future! Best regards, The IAMME IA! Gray Line Team

Brilliant tour of the Amalfi coast

This trip was excellent! We highly recommend it. Roberto was a fantastic tour guide - very entertaining and with lots of useful local knowledge. And the driver Giancarlo did a great job navigating the windy roads! Overall a brilliant trip. Lots packed in to one day and just the right amount of time in each place. The optional boat ride around Amalfi is so worth it - and so reasonably priced. I highly recommend this tour.

Family trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius

The early start is worthwhile because the crowds are less in the road and at Pompeii. The tour was very efficiently organised with an excellent tour manager. He was called Nello. And Luigi was a top driver. The refreshments and toilet facilities are good at Pompei. They are grim at Vesuvius

Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review on Viator! We are so glad to hear that you and your family had a great, efficiently organized day exploring Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius! That early start really is the secret key to beating the morning crowds and traffic, so we are happy to hear it paid off for your group. Nello and Luigi will be delighted to read your shoutout! Thank you for choosing IAMME IA! Gray Line for your family outing, and we hope to welcome you back for another great tour in the future! Best regards, The IAMME IA! Gray Line Team

What should I bring or wear?

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
