    1. The Alhambra

On this tour you will visit the Alhambra with an official guide from Granada. You will be able to delight yourself with the art and architecture of this ancient Muslim city and learn the stories of the sultans who dominated the ancient kingdom of Granada. The Alhambra is located on a hill called Al-Sabika. At first it was a military fortress but over time it became a palatial city full of water and gardens. The architects of the time made unique palaces in the world capable of withstanding the passage of time and arousing the admiration of everyone who enters their interior. The history of the Alhambra is also part of the history of Spain, since the last Nasrid sultan, Boabdil, decided to hand over his city to the Catholic Monarchs Isabel and Fernando, thus ending 781 years of Muslim rule in the Iberian Peninsula.

    Fabulous tour with Juan

We had a lovely 2 hour afternoon tour with Juan. It was a private tour which I loved and best of all the tickets were included. Juan was very easy to communicate with also. We toured the garden palace area and the Alhambra. Both are a must! We learned so much and the views are to die for. Highly recommend

Response from the operator: Thank you very much Ann for your review and for choosing us for your visit to the Alhambra. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience. Your feedback encourages us to keep delivering high-quality service. We hope to welcome you again in the future!

    Absolute shambles

Admittedly we booked late for this experience because we had a sudden change of plans that meant we lost our previous booking. We booked the day before and received a confirmation email with a time (14:00) and location for meeting. We arrived 15 minutes early and waited and waited and waited. At 14:00 time I called the number provided only to be sent directly through to voicemail. I called multiple times and sent text messages with no response. After waiting 25 minutes we managed to get into the museum based on our passports even though we didn't have the tickets and started to make our way around without a guide. At 14:55 I received a text message "reminding" me that we were to meet at 14:45 for our 15:00 tour (yes the message came AFTER the meeting time!). At 15:00 the guide called me and told me that they had changed the time of the start of the tour and continued to blame me to not knowing this.

Response from the operator: Hello Breet, we remind you that you made a reservation through this system, Viator, but you did not use this channel of communication at all. We sent you a message early in the morning to tell you that we had to change the time of the tour by 1 hour. The tour was perfectly organised so that you could have joined the tour at 15:00. We offered you to join the group at 15:00 when you arrived, but you refused and preferred to visit on your own. In spite of everything, we refunded you 50 % of the cost, as the most important thing for us is that you have a great experience. As a recommendation for your next reservations on Viator, check the main communication channel. Your supplier might want to tell you important information and you shoud not ignore it.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Brenda, for your feedback! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the tour and appreciated our guide. We’ll make sure your comments reach them. Hope to see you again soon!

Professional and willing to help you get last minute tickets and an amazing guided tour.

If you find yourself in Granada needing last minute tickets for the Alhambra, for whatever reason, do not hesitate to reach out to Granada te Guía for help. In my case, I had booked my Alhambra tickets weeks in advance with a tour, but because of the national blackout in Spain on April 28, 2025 that stopped all trains for practically an entire day, I was not able to get to Granada on time, and I lost them. The agency I had booked said it could not do anything for me and was not able to get me tickets to get in, and obviously not even a refund. I was incredibly frustrated and heartbroken, we travelled all that way!! I tried everything, all the tips on the internet; I refreshed the official page at 00:01, and tried it several times an hour in the remote chance I would get some of the mythical last minute tickets, tried to get the Granada card, Googled solutions for hours! I also went around town asking at the agencies and stores I could find, begged at the ticket counter. Nothing worked. The only person who solved the problem for me was Juan at Granada te Guía. The whole process was formal, friendly and trustworthy. From all my research, I was only able to find a couple of other options for last minute tickets but they were at least double the price and on inconvenient dates and times. Granada te Guia solved it for me on the day I needed it. So if you find yourself in my situation do yourself a favor and contact Granada te Guía. They provided the last minute tickets and our wonderful guide Inés.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review about your experience with us at the Alhambra. We’re truly delighted to know that you enjoyed both the beauty of this historic monument and the insights provided during the tour. Our team works hard to offer engaging explanations, smooth organisation, and an unforgettable visit, so your feedback means a lot. We are committed to maintaining high-quality service for every traveller who joins us. Whenever you return to Granada, we would be happy to welcome you again and help you discover even more hidden gems in the area.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.

How much does PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets cost?

    +

Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.

Is PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PREMIUM 2 Hour Alhambra and Generalife Tour + tickets start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Granada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Granada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Granada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
