What you get
About this experience
Explore the authentic flavors of Prague’s historic west side with a small-group food tour near Prague Castle. Unlike most tours, this experience takes you through Hradčany (The Castle District) and Malá Strana (The Little Quarter) — charming neighborhoods filled with small, locally-owned spots that have held their ground despite the tourist boom. Led by a passionate local guide, this tour offers more than just tastings. As you walk downhill through cobbled lanes and courtyards, you’ll hear stories of the businesses you visit — and learn how Czech cuisine developed through centuries of rural tradition, Austro-Hungarian influence, and local creativity. Taste a variety of Czech favorites: beer snacks and appetizers, local street food, sweet treats from a student-favorite café, countryside-style dishes. Vegetarian options are available. Enjoy culture, flavor, and views — all in one authentic Prague experience.

Exceptional history, stunning views, and great authentic food!
My wife and I recently took the Castle Side Food Tour with Pragueway Tours and Experiences, and it was easily one of the highlights of our time in Prague. While the food was fantastic—wonderfully authentic, rustic, and generous—the real star of the tour was the journey itself. Exploring the sites and learning the rich history behind this incredible part of the city made the experience truly special. A massive thank you to our guide, Elisabeth! She was engaging, remarkably knowledgeable, and made the entire walk so enjoyable and seamless. If you are looking for a fantastic balance of local flavors and captivating history, do not hesitate to book this tour. Highly recommended!

Great tour! Thank you!
We are so glad we booked this tour. Our guide, Erik, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and great to talk with. We very much enjoyed learning about the food, a little history, and some general tips for our trip in Prague. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a great food tour!

Excellent food tour
We did the castle side food tour, and while we did have some traditional Czech foods, there was a lot of interesting ones as well. But, what really made the tour was our guide, Vito. He was very personable and the conversation made the difference. Definitely recommend !

Sabastian was excellent. ...
Sabastian was excellent. We tried many delicious items and Sebastian was happy to answer questions we had about the food and area. We were also taken to a beautiful lookout for pictures.
Response from the operator: Thank you, Sebastian will be delighted! Now we're just trying to figure out which delicious item ate the fifth star... :))

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.
How much does PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views cost?
+
Prices start at $74 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.
Is PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does PragueWay Food Tour: Hidden Flavors & Scenic Views start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Prague?
+
On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Prague?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Prague?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
