    Only a one-way ride

The trip up to the Prague Castle was fine. Our guide gave nice commentary on the way and while introducing us to the complex. He then left us to visit the sites on our own. We thought we were to meet him after for our ride back to the meeting spot. Surprise! No ride home! We had to find our own way back. I think this should have been specified in the description before we purchased it and certainly should have been specified in our documentation. Fortunately, we were already familiar with Prague’s public transportation. But it was a very long walk down many cobblestone stairs to get to transportation. The kind of walk we were trying to avoid by purchasing transportation with our tour package. I am still recommending this because the ride spares you the walk UP to the complex, just not down.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and recommendation. We’re glad you enjoyed the guided part of the tour and the transport up to Prague Castle. We are sorry for the misunderstanding regarding the return journey. As mentioned in the tour description, the transport is only provided to the castle complex, not back to the meeting point. We still appreciate your comments and will look into making this information even clearer for future guests.

Rort to sell horribly expensive tickets when the official tickets sell out. Note you do NOT get an official audio guide

These guys hoard castle tickets so when the official tickets sell out you have to buy these at 4 times normal official price. Also they advertise that you get an audio guide. I assumed this would be a proper official guide with its own handset and headphones like at other tourist attractions. It is not. It’s a terrible online guide that you have to access on your phone ( if u have a data plan) and it constantly drops out, audio randomly stops and you will need to keep reopening the webpage and re-log in after using your phone to take photos. The castle is a nice place on weekdays away from the crowds but this company is a rort. Also note in September 2025 the palace is closed to touring so you miss out on a good chunk of the attractions in the castle complex. There was no discount to the ticket. And no warning that the palace would be closed. The only compensation for this from the company was a 10% discount at some other palace in Prague.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. It is not quite accurate to claim we "hoard" the Prague Castle tickets. You can always buy them directly at the ticket office; they hardly ever sell out - it is possible you will be waiting in the queue for a while, though! The product you purchased included not just the (skip-the-line) admission tickets, but also a car transfer to the Castle, an online audioguide, as well as a 20-minute introduction about the Castle's history. It is true that those additions are not the same price as the basic admission ticket. The audioguide is an online one you have access to in your phone - it is written in the product description that you will need your own headphones, as well as working mobile internet. It is not true that the Castle is closed in September. Due to the ongoing Crown Jewels exhibition, some buildings may have limited access at times, but the complex and all the buildings remain open to visitors. The Castle is an active presidential office; for this reason, closure for official reasons is possible and not a reason for a refund or discounts, as is written in the product description. Nonetheless, we are grateful for your feedback, as it helps us understand which areas to improve our services in.

Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide cost?

    +

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Prague Castle: Admission Ticket With Bus Transfer And Audioguide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, 3-hour Complete Prague Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
