    Highly recommend

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Isabella. We travel frequently, and I really enjoy visiting art museums with my children so we have worked with a lot of guides, and Isabella was one of the best we have ever had. She was warm, engaging, funny, and interesting and piqued my 10-year-old son's curiosity so much that he asked to go back to the Prado a second time and see more paintings. I highly recommend her.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, María! It was such a pleasure to show you and your son around the Prado. I’m especially happy to hear that he enjoyed the experience so much that he wanted to come back to the gallery! That's amazing! Thank you for trusting me with your visit and for recommending me. It was lovely meeting you both! Hope to see you whenever you come back to Madrid. Best, Isabella

    Highly recommended experience in Madrid

We went to the Prado Museum with three children aged 10, 11, and 12 and we loved the tour. Isabella was in charge of helping us organize the visit, and once at the museum, it was clear that she knows it like the back of her hand. She told us anecdotes, spoke to us about the meaning of the paintings, and even about artistic techniques and materials in a way that fascinated children and adults alike. It was very pleasant and entertaining. She is a very approachable and accessible guide, and she conveys passion for her work. We will count on her again for more visits to Madrid.

Response from the operator: ¡Mil gracias por esta reseña tan estupenda! Saludos, Isabella

    Wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide!

We had two tours in Madrid with Isabella Trébede (in English) and she is WONDERFUL! Our tour included myself, my husband, our 8 and 11 year old daughters, and my 86 year old father. First, we saw the Royal Palace. Our travel agent recommended Isabella, saying that Isabella is "one of Madrid’s most highly regarded private guides. Unlike a traditional historical tour, Isabella specializes in creating engaging visits for families, adapting the experience to the ages and interests of each group through storytelling, questions and interactive elements that keep children involved throughout the visit." She is so knowledgeable and entertaining, and was attuned to when my girls' legs were getting tired and needed a break! We then toured the Prado Museum with Isabella, and our travel agent said she is "one of Madrid’s most highly regarded art historians and family guides. Rather than a traditional museum visit, Isabella’s approach is designed to make the Prado enjoyable for visitors of all ages through storytelling, conversation and carefully selected masterpieces, allowing children to engage with the paintings without feeling overwhelmed." I include these quotes from our travel agent because I agree with her comments wholeheartedly. We were truly impressed by how knowledgeable Isabella is about both Spanish history and art history. At the Prado she included a drawing exercise and scavenger hunt to keep my girls interested and engaged.  My father has difficulty hearing and Isabella was very mindful to stay close to my dad and continually check in to make sure he could hear her excellent explanations. At one point my father fell at the museum, and while he was ok, Isabella escorted him to the doctor at the museum to get some ointment and a bandaid while I stayed with my kids. In addition to being super knowledgeable, she is warm, kind, and funny, and I appreciate the care she took to ensure everyone in our party was well looked after. I highly recommend Isabella for any tour you are looking to book in Madrid -- our experiences at both the Royal Palace and The Prado Museum were so much better because we took a tour with her! Thank you, Isabella!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed and generous review. Reading it truly made my day. It was a joy to guide your family through both the Royal Palace and the Prado. I especially appreciate your kind words about how I adapted the visits for everyone in your group. Creating experiences that work for different ages and interests is something I care deeply about, so it means a great deal to know that all the family enjoyed the tours. Thank you for your trust, your curiosity, and your lovely sense of humor throughout our time together. It was a pleasure meeting all of you, and I’m delighted that your time in Madrid was enriched by our visits together. I wish you and your family all the very best and many more wonderful adventures ahead.

Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.

How much does Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.

Is Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Prado Museum for Kids and Families: A Private Fun Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Madrid?

    +

On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Madrid?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Madrid?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
