Fantastic Local Guide in Madrid
Daniel was an absolute pleasure to work with while planning my clients' trip to Madrid. From the very beginning, he was informative, responsive, and truly collaborative throughout the planning process. My clients were a family of four with children ages 9–13, so it was important to find activities that would be engaging for both the kids and the adults. Daniel offered wonderful suggestions that helped create the perfect itinerary. When my clients returned home, they couldn't stop talking about their experience. While they loved the incredible sights of Madrid, what stood out most was meeting Daniel. They described him as incredibly knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and someone who truly brought the city to life. As a travel advisor, it's invaluable to have local partners you can trust, and I know my clients were in excellent hands. I will absolutely be booking with Daniel again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional guide in Madrid.

A wonderful tour with Daniel
We had a wonderful “ Soulful Madrid” tour with Daniel Correa Hernandez. He was one of the highlights of our trip. He struck the perfect balance between providing a comprehensive tour and allowing us time to experience each place without feeling rushed, a rarity in our experience. His knowledge of Madrid’s history, art and culture was exceptional. But what made the experience more memorable was the at he took us beyond the typical tourist attractions and introduced us to local cafes and hidden neighborhoods which we could not have discovered on our own. Daniel was also just fun to be with. Rather than feeling like we were on a guided tour it felt as though a friend was proudly showing us his city. We could not have asked for a better introduction to Madrid and we would recommend Daniel without hesitation!

Amazing tour!
Carmen was the highlight of our whole trip to Spain. As an architect herself, she brought an incredible depth to everything we saw — from the layers of history in the old town to details in the Habsburg streets that we would have walked straight past without her. Her tour of the Prado felt almost private, pointing out pieces and perspectives we never would have discovered on our own. Her storytelling is effortless; she made centuries of history feel immediate and alive. Absolutely worth every penny.

Knowledge and passion. Best decision
We booked a Prado + walking tour with Madrid by Locals and honestly didn't know what to expect — we left absolutely blown away. Time flied in the Museum and then the walking through Madrid. The knowledge and passion our guide made the whole experience feel personal, not touristy at all. Best decision.

Amazing guides to discover and enjoy Madrid
Daniel was an outstanding guide. We spent four hours walking through old Madrid, learning about the Habsburg history and architecture, and then visited the Prado, which I had been to before but all the stories and anecdotes that Daniel shared made it much more enjoyable. He has this rare ability to make history feel alive. My youngest son was even engaged the whole time, which says a lot!

Why this scores 62

Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $61 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Prado Museum and Historic Madrid Private Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
