About this experience
After the departure from Sorrento, we will head towards Meta from where we will proceed for 5 km uphill towards the Colli di San Pietro and the coastal highway 163 in the direction of the Amalfi Coast. The first part of the highway is completely downhill, a road full of curves and breathtaking views. It will be difficult not to linger several times for some souvenir photos. Before reaching Positano, we will have to climb a 1.5 km climb, but we will not feel the effort, taken by the enthusiasm to reach the coastal pearl where we will stop briefly after which we will return to Sorrento. Along the way back we will then head towards the highest area of the Sorrento peninsula, the Picco Sant’Angelo, a short but demanding climb. Once we reach the top, we will stop for a few minutes to admire the panorama of the gulfs of Salerno and Naples. From Picco Sant’Angelo we will return to Sorrento along the scenic Via Nastro Verde.

A great experience
Yet again an excellent tour with the fabulous Macarena. The bikes are great and easy to use. They are very much needed on the hills, makes it really easy. Helmets are given too and Macarena was great at making sure the bikes and helmets fitted correctly. Water is also provided. With Macarena leading the way we both felt really safe and secure. Once we got to Positano we had a quick walk around and then came back. Will definitely book with this company next time we come to Sorrento.

Nice loop rides at Amalfi Coast!
I booked two road cycling rides around Sorrento with this company, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The bikes were in great condition, the routes were beautiful, and everything was very well organized. Riding early in the morning was the perfect choice, with quieter roads and incredible views of the Amalfi Coast and the surrounding mountains. A special thanks to the team for their professionalism, friendliness, and local knowledge. They made every ride enjoyable, safe, and perfectly suited to my expectations. If you’re a cyclist visiting Sorrento and looking for a memorable road cycling experience, I highly recommend them. I would definitely book with them again!

We had a great time!
We had a great time! Macarena is an amazing guide! We felt safe by just following her instructions on the coastal roads and busy streets. She took a lot of great family pics for us too. I’m in my 60s but E bike made it super easy to go up the hills. The scenery was simply breathtaking!

Great bike tour along the Amalfi coast. Macarena was the best!
Great bike tour from Sorrento to Praiano. Macarena was a lovely guide, as was the group of other guests. Be sure to pick the right bike option for you-road vs e bike. The hills along the coast are challenging, but very much worth the effort. The views were gorgeous, and probably couldn’t be appreciated in the same way if you just drove the coast in a car. Thanks for a great addition to our trip!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Positano Bike Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.
How much does Positano Bike Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Positano Bike Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.
Is Positano Bike Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Positano Bike Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Positano Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Positano Bike Tour?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Positano Bike Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sorrento?
+
On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sorrento?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sorrento?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
