The portaventura tour that was cancelled without notice
We have selected barcelona over other destinations to enjoy at least a full day tour to portaventura (we wanted 2 days but had no time to do so). Julia offered such tour and we booked weeks in advance to make sure we obtain such tour. On the day of the tour we showed up at Julia offices just in time for the tour. To our disbelief we were told that the tour was cancelled without any particular reason. They told us that they informed us by email, but I had never received such email. They told us to seek alternative transport to reach the park. That will mean a couple of transfers with bus, train etc....too complicated for us foreigners. We decided to renounce. Julia travel not even offered us some form of compensation. Thanks Julia travel for ruining our barcelona holiday!!!
Response from the operator: Dear A F, Thank you for taking the time to share this review, I regret to learn that you didn't receive our message, sent to the email address indicated on your purchase, where we informed you of the tour not being available and offered alternatives, as per our records your full refund was already processed. Sincerely,

Very misleading...
The description of this trip on the Viator site is very misleading and inaccurate. It says "guaranteed to skip the line" however this does not mean skip the lines in the park! that's an additional 100 euro and you will definitely need it as the queue for all rides is enormous! They let far too many people in and if you don't buy the express pass you can wait to hours for 1 ride and when you are at the park just for a few hours it's really disappointing.
Response from the operator: Dear Carole_K Thank you for sharing your feedback, I regret to learn that you felt missinformed by your booking agency, Please bear in mind that the activity includes skip the line entrance to the Park, not to the attractions. The express passes for atractions can only managed at the park and it not inlcuded, neither advised as included in the activity description, Best regards,

Disillusioned
Having paid for the skip the queue entry in advance with Viator on arrival at the pickup point in Barcelona I was not issued with the pass just the entry paperwork and subsequently finished up paying again for the skip the queue option. I would not book or recommend Viator as company to this venue as it was very expensive for myself and stressful to the child who felt disillusioned with the whole entry procedure

Ruined trip to port aventura
Terrible service. Bus departure is late, rude attitude. we were told to come to the bus station at 8:45 in the morning, as a result the bus was late and we left only at 9:20. (at this time I could at least have breakfast) there was no warning about delays. The return journey also spoiled the mood; we were told to be there at 6:20, since departure was at 6:30 pm. the driver came exactly at 6:30 and said to wait another 10-20 minutes. people gathered at the appointed time, that is, at 6:20, who will pay for the time wasted? I do not recommend JULIA 90anys to anyone. I'm upset and angry. ruined my trip!
Response from the operator: Dear Sherpa25359061294, Thank you for taking the time to share this review, I regret you were not satisfied with our service and any incident this may have caused, Please do not hesitate to contact us through your booking agency in case you need our assistance, Best regards,

Waste of time!
Park was good, the package included Ferrari Land, which we later found out that it starts at 5pm and the trip started at 9am. The pick up bus was supposed to leave at 6:30 so we barely had time to enjoy Ferrari Land! Moreover, the bus arrived one hour late to pick us up without an apology
Response from the operator: Dear nujouds2016, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, I am gald to hear that you enjoy PortAventura park. All the information about the schedule of FerrariLand is shared with all authorized selling points and agencies, Regarding the bus incident, we send you a private message, please do not hesitate to contact us through your booking agency for our assistance, Best regards,

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does PortAventura Park Day Trip from Barcelona start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
