    First time fishing

Allen is a really nice captain and responded very quickly; he has a husband and two sons of 14 and 17. Allen showed us how to fish, and we were soon rewarded with our first catch. It was lovely being out on the boat with great views of Port St. Joe. We all enjoyed it very much, and We caught 20-plus tripletail, Black Drum, cobia, and Redfish and have just enjoyed every minute.

Response from the operator: What an incredible Port St. Joe fishing adventure! 🎣 Captain Allen made sure everyone felt comfortable learning the ropes, and catching 20 plus fish, including tripletail, black drum, cobia, and redfish, made the day unforgettable. We’re glad your group enjoyed the views, the boat ride, and every moment on the water. 😊

Response from the operator: Thanks for taking your family out for a trip with us! 🎣 Captain Carl helped make your tripletail adventure a memorable one, with some great redfish action added to the day. We’re glad everyone, including the kids, had such a fantastic time on the water. We look forward to welcoming you all back for another fishing adventure soon! 😊

    Superb morning fishing

Seven of us went out early in the morning and had a fantastic 6 hours fishing. Captain mike was an excellent guide, really working hard to make sure the morning was enjoyable and to make sure we were able to catch Cobia, which we did. Tackle was very good and simple to use after an explanation from Mike. I got the feel that catching fish and enjoying ourselves was really important to the guys rather than just taking money off tourists, which was appreciated. Cheers!

Response from the operator: Thanks for spending six hours on the water with Captain Mike! 🎣 We’re glad his dedication and guidance helped your group of seven have such a memorable morning, especially landing the cobia you were hoping for. It’s great to hear the quality gear, instruction, and genuine care made the experience stand out. We hope to welcome you back for another great fishing adventure! 😊

    Just excellent for all!

Booked this as it was close to Port St. Joe, and my two children (11 and 13) were desperate to go fishing. Booking the trip was easy, and the trip itself was fantastic. Captain Mike was simply helpful, informative, and very, very funny. We caught lots of redfish; others on the boat also caught tripletail. Can't recommend highly enough. Hope to be back next year.

Response from the operator: Thanks for choosing us for your family fishing adventure near Port St. Joe! 🎣 Captain Mike helped make the trip special for your children with great guidance, plenty of laughs, and lots of redfish action. We’re glad the booking process was easy and everyone enjoyed their time on the water. We look forward to welcoming your family back next year! 😊

    Special trip with dad.

My family and I have just been out with Carl to celebrate my dad's birthday. Thank you, Carl, for making it such a special day.

Response from the operator: Thank you for celebrating such a special occasion with us! We're honored Captain Carl could be part of your dad's birthday and help create memories your family will cherish. From tripletail and cobia to black drum, redfish, blacktip sharks, and 12+ king mackerel, what an incredible day on the water! 🥳 We're thrilled you all had such a memorable trip, and we hope to celebrate with your family again in the future. 🎣

Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Panama City Beach.

How much does Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters cost?

    +

Prices start at $825 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Panama City Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Panama City Beach is not rushed.

Is Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Panama City Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Panama City Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Panama City Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Port St Joe Inshore Fishing Charters start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Panama City Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Panama City Beach?

    +

Panama City Beach sells dolphin encounters, Shell Island snorkel trips, jet ski and pontoon rentals, parasailing and sunset cruises along a long stretch of white Gulf sand. On Outty we rank every Panama City Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dolphin Sunset Cruise in Panama City Beach on the "Island Time", Shell Island Snorkel and Dolphin Catamaran Cruise with Island Time, Cypress Springs Eco Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Panama City Beach?

    +

April to May and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Panama City Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
