Traveler reviews
2 verified traveler reviews for Port Arthur Day Tour from Hobart with Scenic Harbour Cruise. Ratings and reviews provided by Viator and Tripadvisor.
Very disappointed
We did not do this trip as after difficulty finding pick up we found it to be a car with very little room in rear seat. We expressed our concern that we expected a bus. Also we were advised that we still needed to pay entry into port Arthur even when ticket showed entry was part of inclusions. We unfortunately lost our monies as there was no refund as it was within the 24 hrs. Operator stated that in itinary it stated that entry was not included. This was the most expensive port Arthur tour available yet not inclusive of entries only a driver & car. I would not recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Hi Sue, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. However, we would like to clarify that, as clearly stated on the Viator listing and in the booking confirmation, admission to the Port Arthur Historic Site is not included in the tour price and is payable directly at the site. The itinerary section of the listing specifically notes “Admission Ticket Not Included” for this stop. Our tours are also conducted in small vehicles as part of a small-group experience, which allows us to operate flexible tours and access locations that larger buses cannot. As the tour was operating as described in the listing and was ready to proceed, the decision not to continue with the tour was made on the day. For this reason, the booking falls under the standard cancellation terms. We appreciate your feedback and will continue reviewing our listing information to ensure everything is communicated as clearly as possible. Thanks Sella Silva Safe Travel and Tour Services

Wonderful way to spend a day in the Hobart area.
My guide helped me enjoy the sights and sounds of the truly interesting and very informative tour. It made me realize the extremely harsh conditions the settlers and most of all the convicts endured in settling this area.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour.

+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hobart?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
