From there, board a fast ferry for the 1.5-hour crossing to Ponza (ferry ticket €60 per person, payable at check-in). Ahh…. We had such an unforgettable experience during the Ponza Island day trip from Rome! The meeting points and transfers were well coordinated. Mara, our tour guide was awesome! She’s fun, free-spirited and engaging. She made sure that everyone was accounted prior to departing from every stopping point. Ponza island waters are INCREDIBLY clear! (PS Caribbean ocean waters met its match in my books😂)

Too many people on one boat !
I loved the island but I wish it was shared ahead of time that “ shared “ boat meant sharing with 50 other people that are not on the tour as well . I booked this thinking sharing a boat with 15 of people on my tour or realizing we were going to packed like sardines into one boat with others . The guide was also a poor communicator and not organized . I would do this with a smaller private boat not a small boat with no room to enjoy I would also bring snacks.
