About this experience
On our pony rides, your keiki (kids) have a chance to do something they'll always feel proud of. Riding a horse is an unforgettable experience for kids, and our wranglers will help them become little wranglers in a setting that’s safe and comfortable. Parents can walk alongside their child at no charge and get a few great photos along the way. Parents can also ride a horse alongside their child for the same price. One of our wranglers will lead, or “pony”, the horse while the kids sit in the saddle and feel on top of the world. Parents and kids alike can take in the beautiful scenery on the ranch, enjoying native Hawaiian plants, birds, and a cool, fresh breeze. Gunstock Ranch is situated in one of the most picturesque spots on Oahu’s North Shore, so there’s plenty for all ages to appreciate. After the ride, children will have a chance to feed and pet the horses for the perfect end to a great adventure.

Pony ride for our daughter's 4th Birthday!
The ranch is gorgeous, the horses are lovely, and Beth, who led our Pony tour was amazing!! They also have a petting zoo with goats and bunnies which was very fun! highly recommend!

Perfect pony adventure
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Shaylee for our little one’s pony adventure! She loved riding the trail, and we (the adults) walked along for fun. Libby was kind and gentle and perfect. Next time we’ll have to consider a family ride along. 😀 And the petting zoo was fun. You could get up close and personal with some very friendly farm animals.
Response from the operator: Aloha, we are so pleased that you had a fun time with Libby and Shaylee. Don’t be afraid come back and ride with the rest of your family. You can even request Libby and Shaylee. You can call us if you have any questions. Mahalo nui

Very Kid Friendly and Awesome Staff
Tonto the pony, Cat and Taylor (Guides) were awesome!! I love the small and intimate tours. No minimum as we were the only ones on tour and they did not cancel. Love this!!!!
Response from the operator: Mahalo nut loa for taking the time to share this with us! Come back and see us again.

An equestrian-in-training
Although she was nervous at first, my 2yo ended up having such a wonderful time riding a pony for the first time and said she can’t wait to ride again! Our guide, Ocean, was so knowledgeable and patient when my toddler had questions. The petting zoo was free and amazing as well!
Response from the operator: Mahalo for the great review! We are so glad that your toddler had such an amazing experience and has begun to cultivate a love for riding. Ocean is incredible and loves her job and the ranch so much, as do we all. We hope to see you back again soon!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pony Rides For Kids: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.
How much does Pony Rides For Kids cost?
+
Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pony Rides For Kids take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.
Is Pony Rides For Kids worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pony Rides For Kids?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pony Rides For Kids suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pony Rides For Kids?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pony Rides For Kids start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oahu?
+
On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oahu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oahu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
