Fantastic, could be better, but still 5 stars

Great service in terms of communication, on time pick up and organisation. Tour guide in Pompeii (Saas) was excellent, so knowledgable. Maybe only slight fault is he talks to much. Great info, but maybe too much standing around listening rather than looking. Vesuvius - felt a little rushed. Only given 70 minutes to get up and back for pick up. Worked for us as despite age we’re pretty speedy, but others made it to the top but not around the crater as felt needed to get back down (we did walk right to the end but got back down with only 1 minute to spare!). Wine tasting - excellent food, really good wines but maybe could have been more interaction, and wines ran out well before meal was finished. Sounds like I’m composing but overall, great tours and would recommend.

    History through Pompei and Vesuvius!

Excellent guide named Franky for Pompei Tour (Aka Follow Franky) Vesuvius hiking is a most and does not take long to do (approx. 40min to go up) Only negative would be wine tour which is too short and a bit too commercial but the wine and food was good. A very complete tour and recommended

    Follow Frankie thru Pompeii

The best part of the tour was our guide in Pompeii - follow Frankie! He had a passion for the history, was engaging, friendly and hilarious!! He made the tour, really. The small group size was nice, as we didn’t have to walk around with an earpiece. And Frankie timed the particular sights in a way that it was less crowded during our viewing. Vesuvius was definitely worth it, and the early arrival allowed us to view the crater without a big crowd. (Be prepared for cold and windy as you trek up to the crater tho!) And our driver, (Antonio?), was super friendly, timely, and looked out for us. Overall glad we did this tour.

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
