    Best boat trip in Polignano

This trip was the highlight of our visit to Puglia. 5pm was the perfect time to see the spectacular caves and have a swim. The crew on board were so lovely, professional, knowledgable and funny. We had an amazing time!

    A day wasted

A total disappointment. We arrived at the meeting location on time, but nobody was there. We asked the other tour companies operating on-site, and they told us that this company had decided to cancel the activity due to the weather, even though three other companies were running their tours as usual. I understand that weather conditions can force activities to be canceled, and safety should always come first. However, the complete lack of communication was unacceptable. Nobody contacted us to let us know about the cancellation. We couldn't reach the company because they didn't answer their phone, and we ended up wasting our day. At the very least, have the decency to notify your guests or have someone on-site to inform the people who paid for the activity and took the time to show up. We are also still waiting for our refund. I would not recommend booking with this company.

    The crew made the trip....

The crew made the trip. They were knowledgeable about both the caves and things to do/eat in the surrounding towns. This boat was smaller and slower than alot of the others which we preferred as it made for a more enjoyable experience. The communication was clear and prompt.

It was a great time, I...

It was a great time, I just wish it was more clear if it was private or not. However, we were offered snacks and drinks and the opportunity to learn about the history and even swim for a bit.

    As authentic as it gets

I went on the tour with my family. This is NOT a big touristy business; it's just two young local guys with their boat. So they are very attentive, very knowledgeable, great company, but also balancing that with leaving you to enjoy the trip. The boat is a catamaran, so it's stable, suitable for small children and even babies. The boat is very clean and well-maintained. The tour itself was fantastic, too. We went to all the caves, as the guys were telling us stories about swimming there as boys. We stopped for a quick dive and a couple of bottles of prosecco.

Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bari.

How much does Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.

Is Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Polignano a Mare : Caves, Prosecco and Swimming Boat Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bari?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Bari Vecchia Group Tour in Italian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bari?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bari?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
