Great day trip outside of Seoul!
On November 8, after spending a few days in Seoul, we took a private tour to the Pocheon area. We had a fantastic, English-speaking guide, Justin, who drove us to the Arboretum (we were there just at the peak of the foliage changing! so lucky!), then to an old granite quarry that has been converted into an outdoor auditorium, a beautiful reservoir, and a sculpture garden (you go up in a cable car). Justin told us the history of the area, gave us context to appreciate what we were seeing, and found a place for lunch that accommodated our late lunch preference. He introduced to tteokgalbi, delicious black pork dish that comes with all the banchan little dishes. We ended the day at the vefy interesting Herb Island. In sum, great day with a wonderful tour guide!
Response from the operator: Dear customer, Thank you for your review. We are very happy to hear that you had a great time in Pocheon with Justin, we hope you'll always remember all the great memories and the wonderful time we shared with you. We wish you all health and happiness! Best Regards, Oneday Korea

Travel outside Seoul
Justin Kim, our guide, showed us Pocheon on a private tour from Seoul. He was fluent in English and we had a wonderful time visiting the National Arboretum and other locations on the tour. He also helped take pictures throughout the tour which he emailed to us the next day. We enjoyed the authentic Korean restaurant on the tour. Highly recommend Justin Kim.

A visit to my hometown
My husband and I did the private day tour to Pocheon with Justin as our guide. Justin is a standout guide. He’s incredibly knowledgeable in Korean history and attractions in Seoul. And very funny too. Our trip to Pocheon was extremely special for me, I was born in Pocheon then adopted as a baby to America. This was my first time back to visit. Despite our full day agenda, I mentioned to Justin my connection and that I’d love to visit the hospital I was born at in Pocheon. After the amazing Korean lunch, Justin took us by the hospital for me to have a few moments there. He even asked a hospital staff member about the construction of the hospital to then point out which part of the building I was most likely born in. He was so kind and sensitive to my feelings as I did get tears in my eyes. It’s a moment I’ll always remember. The arboretum was our favorite part of the planned tour. Lots of information on the different trees and wood types plus botanical tour. Justin was helped by Kristin, arboretum staff member, who was lovely and sweet. The Art Valley is a pretty spot and Herb Island was an interesting experience... Herbs, dinosaurs, donkeys, Santa Claus, and massage chairs. Pocheon itself is a beautiful town, surrounded by lush green mountains with plentiful farming around. I definitely recommend this tour to any nature lover. You won’t be disappointed, especially with Justin as your guide.

Pocheon Area Private tour with lunch
We had an amazing day with our tour guide Justin. I would definitely recommend booking directly through OneDayKorea for the best deal and service. Justin picked us up on time and was so friendly. We felt comfortable with him right away. He was willing to share his knowledge of Korea with us and his English was very good. He took pictures of us throughout the day and sent them to us by the end of the day. They turned out great! Our favorite stop was Pocheon Art Valley. Very beautiful area. A traditional Korean lunch was also included and was delicious. If we had more time in Korea I would book another tour with OneDayKorea and Justin.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.
How much does Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.
Is Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pocheon Private Day Tour from Seoul start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seoul?
+
On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seoul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seoul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
