About this experience
Private trip to Plitvice Lakes directly from your hotel! Forget the crowds and standard tourist routes. I invite you to experience Plitvice Lakes through the eyes of a local. While others rush through the park, we will explore the quiet corners where the water tells the most beautiful stories, with enough time to take photos without people in the frame. The national park is world famous for its 16 lakes arranged in cascades and connected by a series of waterfalls. These lakes are a result of the confluence of several small rivers and subterranean karst rivers. This heavily forested park hides 75 endemic plants,55 different species of orchids,160 bird species and even bears and wolfs! On the way, you will stop at Rastoke ethno village. With its well-preserved mills and picturesque little waterfalls Rastoke Ethno village, often referred to as 'Little Plitvice', makes a great place to prepare yourself for the magnificence of Plitvice National Park. This should be at the TOP of your list!

Plitvice National Park and Rastoke Village.
Last minute booking with a personal driver and guide. Safe, calm and informative day. Very busy in National Park due to summer holidays. Sanja willed her magic to ensure we were not waiting too long for the ferry. Very personal and attentive experience. Thank you Sanja.☺️

Unforgettable trip with great host
It was a beautiful trip for my family and me with Sanja! Communication, pick up, drop off right in front of the hotel and the whole day was perfectly well organised with no problems at all. It was only us, so we were completely flexible and Sanja had time to tell us lots of interesting stuff, show us around everywhere and answer all of our questions. Obviously Rastoke and the Plitvice Lakes National Park itself were breathtaking! It was a really special experience, especially with the beautiful colours in autumn. Still, it was a little crowded in certain places, for example right in front of the big waterfall, but I‘m sure it‘s worse in the summertime, so I definitely can recommend visiting in Octobre. Big thanks to Sanja !! 🫶🏽
Response from the operator: Thank you and a warm hug for your kind words! It was a wonderful day with you in our most beautiful national park bathed in the colors of autumn! I hope you will come again and visit again in another season! 🫶🍂🫶

The lake is incredible
This trip is amazing. A must-do when in Zagreb. The hike at the water falls is the best. We had an amazing day with our tour guide. Very kind who made sure we arrived everywhere on time. The national park is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. I recommend booking with this agency!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the nice comment! It was wonderful and we are glad you enjoyed it, I believe you will come again!

Great destination not so good tour operator
More expensive than other operators the advertisement for the tour was deceiving as we thought from the first glance that the ticket for the park entry was included, but when we booked, we discovered it didn’t. The provider did not come on time and did not publish the exact time on the advertisement for the tour. Timing in general wasn’t accurate. Not that much a tour guide, more a driver only, as voice was not loud enough and information given was limited. Other than that she was very nice and polite. As for the destination, it was amazing, lots of walking and plenty of steps! But breathtaking scenery.
Response from the operator: As you know, you booked at the last minute in the evening before your morning departure. This means that we had to hire an additional van in the morning, because the tour was scheduled with a private car, which means that it was only half an hour late after picking up the van. We also stated that the price increase from 1.06. to 40 euros for the ticket to the Plitvice Lakes National Park, and that it is not included in the price of the tour. This is a private tour and you had enough options to choose from, your own pace for touring and taking pictures, while for group tours with a bus the prices are lower, but you have strictly limited movement and a shorter stay on the lakes. Thank you for your visit and we believe that you still enjoyed the wonderful scenes of this unique gift of nature and the priceless scenes of numerous waterfalls.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.
How much does Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.
Is Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Plitvice National Park & Rastoke - Private Tours from Zagreb start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zagreb?
+
On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zagreb?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zagreb?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
