A Gem of a tour in Bali!!

I had a great time on this tour with my mates! The coffee tasting was a real highlight, all arabica beans grown in Bali, and each one had a unique flavor. I was also pleasantly surprised by the raw vegan lasagne — not something I’d normally order, but it was seriously good! I’m not plant-based but the food in Ubud is so tasty I can see why so many people talk about it! We tried so many different dishes — maybe 14 things overall — and it was a total taste explosion. Walking and talking in between stops was a fun way to explore, and our guide was fun and super engaging. It was also great to meet other foodie travelers along the way. I’d definitely love to do another tour with Bali Culinary Tours!

Response from the operator: Hello Kevin, thanks so much for the feedback! We love the raw vegan lasagne as well! We’d absolutely love to welcome you on another foodie adventure soon!

    Loved it!

Such a fun experience! My girlfriends and I joined the Ubud food tour as part of our girls trip, and it ended up being one of our favourite days. We loved meeting other food lovers from around the world and getting to know our Balinese guide — he was so warm and funny, and shared so much about Balinese culture along the way. The food was honestly amazing — we went to some of the best restaurants in Ubud. The menu Bali Culinary Tours curated at each stop was perfect. We tried so many things, I felt totally spoilt! Some of the chefs even came out to talk to us, and we got to try a few dishes that weren’t even on the menu yet. Such a special and unique experience. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this! We’re thrilled to hear the tour became one of the highlights of your girls trip — that means a lot to us. How wonderful that you got a sneak peek at upcoming dishes! We'd love to host you again anytime for another unforgettable culinary day in Ubud!

    100% recommend!

I joined this tour with a couple of friends and we had such a great time! I’m vegetarian, so I really appreciated the variety of plant-based tastings — there was so much food and it was all absolutely delicious. Each restaurant gave us a small tasting of 3 or 4 different dishes, which was a great way to get to know the menu and discover new favourites. I especially loved the gado gado roll with creamy cashew sauce and the vegan carbonara — so tasty! Some of the chefs even came out to tell us more about the food, which was such a nice touch and made the experience feel really special. The storytelling from our guide about Balinese culture and cuisine added a lot to the tour, and now I feel like I know all the best places to eat in Ubud. A unique experience I’ve never done before — highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful review! Meting the chefs and hearing their stories definitely adds a special touch, and we’re glad the cultural insights from our guide made the experience even richer. Come to visit us soon!

Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Plant Based Food Tour in Ubud start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
