What you get
About this experience
Escape the busy beaches of Koh Samui on a relaxed half-day trip to Koh Tan and Pig Island (Koh Madsum). After hotel pickup, travel to the quieter south of the island, where a shorter land transfer is rewarded with a quick and smooth speedboat ride across calm, shallow waters—ideal for those who prefer to avoid long boat journeys. At Koh Tan, enjoy a light snorkeling stop in shallow reef areas. Conditions and visibility may vary depending on weather, but the stop offers a pleasant chance to swim, float, or simply relax. The experience is designed to be easy-going rather than focused on intensive snorkeling. Continue to Pig Island, where you can unwind on the beach, take photos, and meet the island’s famous pigs. With a total duration of around 5 hours including transfers, this tour is perfect for travelers seeking a short, scenic, and fun island escape.

Pig island speedboat tour
Great day out. Lunch included which was nice. Toilets dreadful on pig island and where we had lunch. Friendly tour guide. Modern speed boat. Great if u are a pig lover
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review. We’re glad you enjoyed the day, lunch, modern speedboat and friendly guide. We’re sorry the toilet facilities did not meet expectations and appreciate you highlighting this. And yes, Pig Island is definitely a must for pig lovers.

Too crowded
The reason I gave this tour worse than a 5 star rating is because it is a very overcrowded tour. I was one of over 70 people on 2 tiny motorboats. This makes for the entire experience to be very busy the whole time. I would recommend spending a bit more money to do a small group or private tour if you don’t want to be with that many people at a time. Otherwise the tour operators were very nice and helpful.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry the group size made the experience feel overcrowded. We understand this can affect enjoyment, although we’re glad you found our team friendly and helpful. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration. 🙏

Pig Island and Koh Tan
Absolutely amazing trip! Jo Biden and Coca Cola were amazing guides! Fantastic 45 minute snorkel followed by a buffet lunch which was on a beautiful island! Then once on pig island you get 70 mins. The pigs were adorable and it was an amazing experience for the adults and children! Highly recommend! Bring swim shoes!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review. We're thrilled you and your family had such a fantastic experience. Joe “Biden” and Coca-Cola will be delighted to hear your kind words! We're glad you enjoyed the snorkeling, beautiful lunch setting and, of course, the adorable pigs. Thanks for the helpful swim shoes tip and your recommendation.

Pigs and Snorkeling in Koh Samui
Too crowded, but pigs were great. Snorkeling average, again too crowded.. Many boats from too many operators
Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback. We're glad you enjoyed seeing the pigs, but we're sorry the crowds affected your experience at both Pig Island and the snorkeling stop. We understand how busy conditions can impact the enjoyment of the tour and appreciate you sharing your feedback with us.

Why this scores 90
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 760 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling?
+
Around 266 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pig Island Tour by Speedboat with Snorkeling start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
