Amazing experience hiking around the lake and to the castle
Mari was our guide and she is just the best. She picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the parking lot. We then went for a hike around the lake where we stopped for a much needed swim. During the whole time, Mari, was more than happy to answer all of our questions and we had a lot of fun conversations. We were able to take breaks to drink water, have snacks and lunch. We were able to take as many photos and videos as we needed and we made it to our scheduled tour on time. The castle is beautiful, the lake is beautiful, the hike is beautiful, all of it was great. Would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Amazing Experience
We wanted to enjoy the beautiful lake and mountains around Neuschwanstein in addition to going to see the castle so we booked the hiking tour and were blown away. Mari was an amazing guide and helped us make the most of this experience! We got to swim in the lake, ans take in the breathtaking views from quiet trails on top of getting to see the castle! We won't hesitate to book another trip with Best Hikes Bavaria the next time we visit Munich!

Wonderful & unique tour to Neuschwanstein Castle
I went to the Disney Castle with Best Hikes Bavaria and loved the tour! Everything is perfectly organized, the pick-up at the hotel is very comfortable, everything was on time and I had a wonderful day. What was also special, was the hiking route they chose. It seems like not many tourists know this route which made me feel like a local. 100% Recommendation for this day trip!

How much does Pickup from Munich: Hike Neuschwanstein - Away from the Crowds cost?

Is Pickup from Munich: Hike Neuschwanstein - Away from the Crowds worth it?
+

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Pickup from Munich: Hike Neuschwanstein - Away from the Crowds?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pickup from Munich: Hike Neuschwanstein - Away from the Crowds start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Munich?
+
On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Munich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Munich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
