Go with Hugo for an amazing adventure!

Hugo took us on a tour of Piano, Italy. From lemon groves to home made gelato to a family owned bakery, Hugo showed the personal side of this picturesque town. He also showed us the gorgeous view of the water and then pointed us in the right direction for the train home. Hugo knows how to give a great tour!

booking mix up with no refund

The trouble was we thought it was a walk in Sorrento not Piano di Sorrento. I called right at the meeting time when there was no tour guide at the location, and found out we were in the wrong location. The tour guide at first said we had canceled - which we had not. then she called me back and said we could not reschedule and was generally not helpful bordering on being very rude. When I requested a refund - it was denied. The tour may be great - if you get to go :( I have used Viatour for most of my travels and unfortunately this was not a great experience

Response from the operator: Dear Anne Shall we deserve a one star review because you did a mistake booking a tour instead of another one ?!?

    Excellent Tour

We had a brilliant time. My husband, 12 year old daughter and I enjoyed our experience immensely. Hugo has a very personable, humorous style, he grew up in Sorrento and when he got married went to live in Piano, has a great knowledge of and passion for the history and people of the city. Absolutely delicious was the Cannolo with fresh ricotta cheese ! A superb day. We ALL highly recommend this experience.

    Peaceful walk

We took this tour to see other areas of Italy away from the more touristy areas Hugo did an excellent job showing us the area and the stop with the local farmer was awesome the lemon ice was nothing but awesome and delicious we even bought some marmalade I hope we can take it back home The Canoli was the best that my wife ever tasted

Response from the operator: Thank you David, I enjoyed so much to guide you in my hometown !!! your feedback makes me proud !!!

    A pleasant discovery

We booked this tour together with that of Pompeii on the advice of the owner of the B&B where we stayed in Piano di Sorrento. The tour was conducted impeccably by a very knowledgeable local guide named Roberta. Prepared, friendly and always kind, she led us from the most modern and popular area of the town to the ancient valleys carved into the tuff eroded by water over the centuries and along the alleys of the old town we reached the gardens overlooking the sea of the beautiful Villa Fondi. A pleasant discovery and many good tastings of local and genuine food!

Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.

How much does Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local cost?

    +

Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.

Is Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Piano di Sorrento Walking Tour with a Local start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sorrento?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
