Scam
I advise you not to leave with Green planet they scam you with money on the spot, they forced us to sit and drink in an unhealthy cafe then charged us 640 bath taxi from the port to our hotel while on bolt the taxi was 90 bath for 4, when I told them they yelled at me and wouldn't argue. This is a family business the husband leaves you no choice but to go to his wife's cafe and get you a taxi. They scream and make sure you don't have time to look and compare prices. Tip: take your tickets on 12GB once there show your tickets and especially refuse any taxi that will be taken to drop you off at your hotel you will pay double or triple.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience. Please allow us to clarify: You booked the trip via Viator, which includes hotel drop-off in Ao Nang. We do not charge extra unless the hotel is outside our service area. We're currently checking which hotel you stayed at to confirm this. At the waiting area, we have a small snack shop belonging to Green Planet, but customers are not required to purchase anything. There are also several nearby shops to choose from. We do not force customers to take any specific taxi. If there was any misunderstanding or miscommunication, we sincerely apologize and will look into the matter seriously. We are a local family-run company committed to fair, safe, and enjoyable trips. All services follow clear guidelines with a limit on the number of passengers per boat for comfort and safety.

Rude and Arrogant
The skipper is only interested in taking your money not offering a service. He sold me a ticket from Phuket to Krabi 1200 baht and then lead me to his wife’s cafe which was dirty and as I made my way next door to the nicer cafe he shouts at me to sit down. I said no and continued, next his wife starts shouting at me to sit down. He didn’t explain that they take you to your hotel on arrival to Krabi. So I had wasted 500 baht on a taxi. I do not recommend

Long story short, waste of money.
If you’re debating on this vs taking the ferry, just save your money and take the ferry. They picked us up on time at our hotel at noon and dropped us at the pier shortly after 1pm. The actual “speed” boat didn’t leave until 3 pm so we sat in a cafe that charged triple what we paid for everything in Phuket for two hours. The actual boat itself is a hotbox with almost no airflow, even when moving. It is shaded, but be prepared to sweat and then share that sweat with your neighbors. There is no view. You’re packed in like sardines. They ask for the same information multiple times and then wait, in the heat, with no airflow, to ask every person which hotel they’re going to, despite giving that information at booking and again via WhatsApp twice.
Response from the operator: Dear Corey_S Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent tour with us. We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. We strive to provide our customers with a positive and enjoyable experience, and we take your feedback very seriously. We will be reviewing your comments with our team and looking for ways to improve our tours in the future. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope that you will give us another chance to show you a better time in the future.

Why this scores 38
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands cost?
+
Prices start at $767 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands take?
+
Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 38 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phuket to Ao Nang by Green Planet Speed Boat via Koh Yao Islands start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
