About this experience
Join us for a meaningful half-day adventure at Phuket’s ethical elephant sanctuary. After hotel pickup, you’ll be welcomed by our guides and introduced to the rescued elephants who now live freely in their forest home. Walk along natural trails to observe them foraging, playing, and socializing, while learning about their stories and care. Next, discover how herbal food and snacks are prepared to support the elephants’ health, then enjoy the unforgettable experience of feeding them by hand — no riding, no shows, just genuine interaction. The small-group setting ensures a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take photos. Your visit ends with light refreshments and a lunch box before saying farewell to the elephants. With transfers included, this 4-hour program is a perfect way to combine education, conservation, and unforgettable memories, all while directly supporting elephant welfare in Phuket.

Beautiful Setting for an Elephant Park
Beautiful setting for an Elephant park. Being able to interact with the Elephants up close with Patong bay in the background is a very unique experience. All the animals are calm and relaxed, pretty clear they are treated well. Guides had great energy, and enthusiasm, they knew each animals history and could explain its personality within the group. Recommend spending 1-2 hours here. It's a fun way to spend a couple of hours, but the half day is a bit long for a park of this size, not the best value. But at least the fees are going to a good cause, keeping those giants fed!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the elephant park, beautiful setting, caring guides, and close interaction with the elephants. We also appreciate your comments about the half-day length and value, and will share them with the team for review.

Lovely experience getting...
Lovely experience getting to feed 5 different elephants. They teach you the history of elephants in Thailand as well as hope they are trying to help them. There is also a bush walk with an elephant (distance varies). Finally go to a private spot for lunch that feels like you’re in the middle of a jungle paradise
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed feeding the elephants, learning about their history, and seeing how the sanctuary helps care for them. It’s great to know the walk and jungle-style lunch made the experience even more special.

Didn't get the full experience but loved it!
Due to my wife getting food poisoning before we went on the trip we only managed an hour. Very disappointed to miss out on the full experience. But the hour we were there was amazing. Will definitely go on the trip again as coming back to phucket in November 2026. Highly recommend as elephants treated really well.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re very sorry to hear that your wife was unwell and that you could only join for a short time. We’re glad the hour you spent with us was still amazing and that you appreciated how well the elephants are cared for. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would be happy to welcome you again when you return to Phuket in November 2026.

Why this scores 93
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $93 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 93 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 464 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour?
+
Around 162 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phuket: Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village Small-Group Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
