DO NOT BUY—IN Our Opinion---SCAM!!!!!
DO NOT BUY—IN Our Opinion---SCAM!!!!! We travel a lot and we have been buying Tripdavisor tours for over a decade with no problems till now. We have never been scammed (in our opinion) before, but there’s always a first time. We bought three of the expensive $100 tickets for the Nautilus sunset cruise. Several days in advance, we communicated with Red Gecko Travel via Whatsapp about the details. They sent us an itinerary for the afternoon/evening Nautilus cruise including times and activities. That looked fine. A few days later, they sent a text and said “Hi I would like to again send you the itinerary.” We did not look at the second itinerary because they said “again”. What they did with the second itinerary is to substitute a completely different tour valued at $56 per person with a completely different tour company having nothing to do with the Nautilus. When it came time to get on the tour for the Nautilus, they sent us to an address for a restaurant. Nobody there knew anything about the Nautilus tour. Their Whatsapp texts stopped altogether—no communication whatsoever. They did not answer repeated phone calls. They did not book the Nautilus tour for us and booked a very modest tour starting later in the day that we happened to have taken two days before and had no interest in doing again. We refused the second tour. Their goal obviously was to pocket the difference between the $100 tour we bought and the $56 tour they offered. Later in the evening, they suddenly came back on line on Whatsapp. We demanded a full refund for their scam (our opinion). They refused. They didn’t even offer to refund us the difference between the two tour values (which would have been unacceptable, in any case). And they did not offer anything like an explanation for the substitution. This experience ruined the end of our Vietnam vacation. In our opinion, Red Gecko Travel are crooks. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

That great!
This time I chose Phu Quoc again when I returned - and it felt even better than before! The water was incredibly clear—you could see the fish even from above the surface. There were so many fish, the food was delicious, and they even filmed a short video for us at the last island as proof of our visit! The guide was kind and helpful from beginning to end.

Why this scores 46
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phu Quoc.
How much does Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phu Quoc usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phu Quoc is not rushed.
Is Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Phu Quoc, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phu Quoc can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phu Quoc and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phu Quoc Halfday Tour with Nautilus Sunset Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phu Quoc within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phu Quoc?
+
On Outty we rank every Phu Quoc experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ho Chi Minh City: Motorbike Street Food Tour with 12 Tastings, Full-Day Private Guided Tour in Phu Quoc Island with Hotel Pick Up, Best Seller-Private Full-Day Tour to Ninh Binh Depart from Hanoi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phu Quoc?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phu Quoc?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
