Vinmec Phu Quoc - Surgery
I can only recommend and would definitely get surgery there again. On February 16, 2026, I injured myself while playing padel. I heard a loud snap and felt my right foot totally lose its mobility. I went to Winmec at around 8pm by Grab and they took care of me promptly and efficiently after signing in. They did a full check up, Radios, Echography and a IRM/Scan (total cost about $300). It was during the Chineese New Year but the hospital was fully manned and working seemingly as usual. Only the Head Radiologist was not available so they sent me back to my residence and told me I would be contacted early the next day with the final results. On the 17th morning, the doctor called me and let me know that I suffered from a complete rupture of the Achilles tendon. They informed me that the earliest I would get surgery (within 48h), the better and the shorter would be the recovery, and that they could operate me the next day. Obviously, my first thought was to get back early to my country of residence Switzerland in order to get surgery at home. But that was complicated and to get done with it the soonest, I decided to get surgery at WinMec. I trully did not regret my decision. Highly professionnal and talented surgeons, anaesthesists and nurses, very clean and high tech. Honestly they have nothing to envy European hospitals. They are up to standard with very high level private clinics I have visited abroad. I stayed there 3 days and nights in a very spatious and confortable private room. Food was good, the staff was very disponible and efficient. The only negative aspect I could think of is the language barrier. English is not very common and most of the communication has to follow a digital translation. Appart from that, it was the most incredible Quality/Price medical service I could think of. (total cost about $ 2'500). After my return home, I got only praise from my doctors for the job done at Winmec. I also got provided with a full and exhaustiv medical file to show my orthopedist. I did take a leap of faith to get surgery on a Vietnamese Island, but I have zero regret and can only say a huge THANK YOU to everyone at Winmec who took good care of me. Patrick (from Geneva)

+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phu Quoc?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
