    Definitely Dylan

After my tour was canceled due to lack of people booking the hotel told me they would try and get me a tour. Dylan agreed to do a tour for just me and picked me up at 5:15am the next morning. We exchanged life experiences as we drove through neighborhoods spotting birds throughout then on to a mountain road meadow that was alive with so many birds you didn’t know whether to look up or right, left.. We spent some time photographing and admiring the action. Me being deaf presented no obstacle to Dylan. He looked at me while explaining the names and colorations of the birds. Our next spot was Esquipulas Estate. What a gem! This was one of the most magnificent experiences Ive ever had. The amount of birds that come to visit is astounding. Again Dylan was patient and professional as he described the birds and their history as well as the seasons and their habitat. The coffee was smooth, rich and delicious as was the breakfast. God certainly has a way of making things work out and this was such a blessing for me.

    Incredible Experience - HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent experience with Quepos Information Center. I booked a private guide, Dylan, for multiple birding days including Esquipulas and a full day trip to the highlands in the Dota region to see quetzals. He is easily one of the most knowledgeable birding guides I have ever been with. He knew exactly where to go for the highest probability sightings, and there was never a moment where he did not recognize a species, whether by flight, visual, or sound. His attention to detail really stood out. I sent him a list of target species ahead of time, and he specifically planned routes around those locations, which made the experience even more tailored. The tour was private, just me, and completely worth it. We saw dozens of species, and he even tracked everything and sent it directly to my Merlin app, which was a huge bonus. If you are serious about birding or wildlife photography, this is one of the best guides you can get. HIGHLY recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! I’m really glad we could plan around your target species and make the experience fully personalized, that is exactly what I aim for on every tour. It was a pleasure sharing those birding days with you, from Esquipulas to San Gerardo de Dota and highlands, and I’m happy you enjoyed the level of detail and the species tracking. Moments like these are what make the experience so special. Wishing you many more great birding adventures ahead, and I hope to see you again in Costa Rica! Thank you! A great tour where you will see lots of birds

This is a fantastic tour and I highly recommend it. Dylan is a really nice guy and incredibly knowledgeable about birds. He took us to a variety of places and we saw numerous species - Toucans, Humming Birds, Manakins, Tanagers, Vultures and more. Our final destination was a beautiful Eco cafe set in a coffee plantation where we sat amongst the birds having a delicious Costa Rican breakfast. Afterwards Dylan sent some beautiful photos and a list of all the birds we had seen.
