    • Minimum age is 5 years, minimum height of 48 inches
    • Actual flight time is approximately 1 hour

    • Roundtrip hotel transportation is available, if the option is selected. Pick up is available from home and hotel locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Mesa, Arcadia and Cave Creek (if within 30 minutes of our check-in location).
    • Comfortable casual clothing is always recommended on our ballooning excursions, as we are enjoying nature in a desert environment. The temperature in the balloon is about the same as on the ground, so be sure to dress appropriately for the day’s anticipated temperatures. On any given day we recommend closed toe shoes, a light jacket, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a camera
    • To ensure a safe hot air ballooning experience, passengers may not be pregnant at the time of flight, or have had recent surgery or broken bones, and should be able to stand for the duration of the flight (approximately 60 minutes). One should be able to jump off the second step of a ladder and be in good general health. All passengers are required to complete a waiver of liability before the tour.
    • The total tour time is 3-4 hours if meeting at our check in location or 4-5 hours if utilizing our roundtrip hotel transportation services. The total tour time includes your transfers to our desert launch site, the viewing of the inflation of the balloon, the approximate 45-60 minute hot air balloon ride, post-flight bubbly and bites, as well as the presentation of commemorative flight certificates to take home.
    • Our tours take place in the Sonoran Desert, and nature unfortunately does not provide a restroom. Our launch and landing sites vary from day to day dependent upon the winds, typically in remote parts of the desert. While there are usually abundant trees and bushes, there are no restroom facilities available during your trip, so be sure to utilize the restroom pre-flight!
    • Though we have the most flyable days per year of anywhere in the country, poor weather can happen. For this reason, we always recommend booking your ballooning excursion early on in your stay so you have alternate date(s) for your flight should there be poor weather on your selected flight date. In the instance of a weather cancellation there is no charge to you, and you can reschedule at your convenience, or cancel your reservation entirely.

Wouldn’t book again due to lack of communication or even conversation

Having to wake up very early to drive to the airport, to then drive to the balloon location in a bumpy van with no talking or any kind of entertainment was dull. We were then told to wait in the van while the pilot evaluated the weather. We were not upset about the flight canceling due to the weather, but there was no communication. I’m in aviation and saw the cells and looked over the TAF.. it was forecasted to be higher winds. We waited for an hour in the van.. with no other conversation from the pilot or driver.. and then told it was canceled due to the winds. If there had been some sort of communication and even if the driver talked and asked questions it would have been a pleasant experience. To then drive back another 45 minutes… I wouldn’t book with you guys again to be honest.. not trying to be mean.. but I’d rather it be an entire event from start to finish.

    Bad Experience

Booked this for my girlfriend’s. Our balloon ride got cancelled for weather, which I get, but they waited until our exact scheduled pickup time to tell us. They had to have known beforehand since they’d have needed to already be on their way to pick us up, so there’s no reason they couldn’t have told us sooner. Because of that timing we’d already checked out of our hotel and ended up with nowhere to stay, and they weren’t able to help when we called. Weather happens, but waiting until the last second to tell us something they already knew was not okay

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry for the last minute cancellation of your hot air balloon ride. Safety is always our highest priority, and because hot air ballooning is entirely weather dependent, our FAA-licensed pilots continuously monitor conditions up until launch. On the morning of your flight, we notified all passengers as soon as our pilots determined that conditions were not safe to fly. At that point, your driver was already en route for your scheduled pickup. We can absolutely understand how frustrating it must have been to receive the cancellation notice after you had already checked out of your hotel, and we appreciate you sharing that perspective. While weather decisions sometimes must be made later than we would like due to everchanging conditions, we've shared your feedback with our piloting team to provide as much notice as possible, whenever possible. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this caused and appreciate your understanding that safety must always come first.

We’re also happy to hear that you enjoyed the champagne and breakfast waiting for you on the ground once you landed. Thank you again for sharing about your flight, we hope to see you up, up, and away again soon!

Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phoenix.

How much does Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast cost?

    +

Prices start at $209 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phoenix usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phoenix is not rushed.

Is Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 2,135 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Phoenix, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast?

    +

Around 747 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phoenix can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phoenix and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Phoenix Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride with Bubbly + Breakfast start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phoenix within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phoenix?

    +

Phoenix runs on desert experiences: sunrise hot air balloon lifts over the Sonoran, Camelback and South Mountain hikes, off-road Tonto Forest tours and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Heat safety and start times decide whether a tour is good, so we weight timing detail in the ranking. On Outty we rank every Phoenix experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayaking the Salt River Foxtail Trip, Grand Canyon with Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Van Tour, Phoenix Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phoenix?

    +

November to April. Summer tours run at dawn or not at all. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phoenix?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
