    What you'll see and do

    1. St. Mary's Basilica

This beautiful and historic church is one of the oldest in the city. The one we see today was completed in 1914, and is home to Arizona’s largest stained-glass windows...and more than one spirit. Our tour begins here, with many more haunts to come!

      30 minutes here

    2. Hanny's

As Hanny's has been home to many different businesses over the years, its history is a colorful one! Join your guide as you peer into the basement of this iconic building...you may be severely spooked by what you find.

      30 minutes here

    3. The original Maricopa County Courthouse was built in 1884, but the one we see today was established in 1929. Though City Hall is no longer there, it still functions as a Superior Courthouse. While the building has seen some refurbishment, there are some spirits that remain. Use your equipment to pick up on ghostly activity in this area!

      30 minutes here

    4. Before the magic of refrigeration, this historic building was a storage facility for huge blocks of ice. Since then, it has seen its fair share of tragedy--therefore, this area has some of the most haunted activity in the city. Explore at your own risk!

Horrible tour, paid money for public access and told to walk around and see stuff

Horrible! Paid for 4 stops and 2 hours of “guided tours” tour guide took us to the wrong spot and told to walk around for an hour and never even saw the stuff we paid for. Extremely disappointed and requested a refund. Don’t know if it will happen but here’s hoping. Would rate 0 stars based on tonight.

Response from the operator: We're very sorry to hear about your experience. It’s unacceptable that you didn’t receive the guided tour and stops you were promised, and we completely understand your frustration and disappointment. Please reach out to us at guestrelations@tourismo.com with the name your booking was under, and we'll be happy to assist you further with your refund request. Thank you for bringing this to our attention we truly appreciate the feedback.

Lucas was great and very knowledgeable about the history of downtown. It was also scary but I won’t spoil it. I would do it again.

We’re thrilled Lucas provided a knowledgeable and exciting tour of downtown, with just the right amount of scares. Your compliments will definitely be shared with him—he’ll be pleased to hear them. Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phoenix.

How much does Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phoenix usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phoenix is not rushed.

Is Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Phoenix, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phoenix can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phoenix and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Phoenix Dead of Night Ghost Hunt Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phoenix within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phoenix?

    +

Phoenix runs on desert experiences: sunrise hot air balloon lifts over the Sonoran, Camelback and South Mountain hikes, off-road Tonto Forest tours and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Heat safety and start times decide whether a tour is good, so we weight timing detail in the ranking. On Outty we rank every Phoenix experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayaking the Salt River Foxtail Trip, Grand Canyon with Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Van Tour, Phoenix Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phoenix?

    +

November to April. Summer tours run at dawn or not at all. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phoenix?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
